- Review of the Batman, dark knight costume by charades, from DC comics. Costume includes leather, foam padded armor in black and dark, gray with armored belt and gold plastic, gauntlets gloves, Batman, cape, wings, foam platter, armor boots, and boot covers and leather foam armor mask with back ears.
Also, includes review of rubies Batman latex mask.
Also includes custom modifications (mods), including addition of dowel rods to cape in order to fully expand wings, and improvement of gauntlets to look more genuine and stay upright via use of black, glossy duct tape.

Great budget suit. As a fellow Batman cosplayer, here some tips. Buy 4 way stretch velvet for the cape. It looks like the movie cape, it flows better and it will elevate your costume. Also the cape should have a v cut on the back. Oh and change the mounting points of the cape. It should mount under the collar armor.

That's exactly why I will buy this suit. I think for this budget it's the best one I've seen so far and with a good cowl/mask it looks very great (you also should not forget to put black makeup around your eyes like its done in the movies for an even better look). And as a huge Batman fan I always dreamed of a decent suit which this one is perfect for. Your review actually helped me a lot deciding, it perfectly showed everything I need to know even how to improve the suit, thank you a lot! I'm noticing that these small niche channels are often actually the best and most interesting ones, you definitely got a new sub from me, keep doing what you do!

I’m not big into Batman but liked the costume enough to buy into it. I’ve been very happy with it and really like the Dark Knight costume style.
I found it’s original cowl to be very comfy on a Halloween out. I really like the look of the Rubies cowl but I’m not sure how comfy it would be for hours on end.

Great review you inspired me to pull the trigger on this one after regretting the other "deluxe" dark Knight costume with the rubber armor long sleeve shirt and footed pants

I’m 5’7 and 165 and I am pretty sure I got an XS extra small and it was a snug fit but I like it snug not baggy… I’d refer to whatever reference Rubies has for sizing, but if that’s not available and if I was you, assuming Amazon does free returns for both sizes I’d get both the Med and Small to test out…of course if you’re going to return one anyway maybe even try the large.
Even better - if you have some kind of Halloween costume store that sells it nearby and they have it in stock you could of course try them on there and not have to worry about buying and returning.

Looks too small for you. Your nose is outside of the mask, which makes it look goofy.
Ha. It does appear that way. While I may well have failed to pull it down all the way, either way- it does raise a downside of this masks design, in that it lacks a bottom nose portion to ensure it remains appropriately positioned.
When it comes to Batman, you either buy a screen accurate suit or you don’t, these kinds of costumes are horrible don’t spend your hard earned money on these.
For someone committed to Batman cosplay - that’s true, Screen-Accurate is the ideal way to go, although it’s a commitment in the thousands of dollars.
However for someone who’s just switching up costumes every year or has financial limitations, this is a reasonably priced alternative that will still turn heads at a local Halloween parade or costume party.
