My kids didn't get a phone till they where 13+..is they wanted a smartphone they had to be smart enough to pay for it themself... They starten around 17 before they got into Snapchat and the selfies.... Thy are now 18 and 21 so adult... So I did hold it off longer then most parents do....
It's their own responsibility now but that doesn't mean that I like things like Snapchat en Instagram making kids into narcissistic self-centred persons...
@@iargaCI I'm not saying that this is always the parents fault but usually it has nothing to do with when kids get their phones but that their parents didn't teach them about important morals and values like for example, the fact that looks isn't the thing that matters the most in the world and that it's important to experience things without having to share it 24/7, raising them in a way that doesn't create a situation where they have to go on the internet to seek for approval etc.

for those that may not know: the dad reacting to speed clip was from the Isle of Man TT Motorsport race, the bikes at this point are going between 180-220 mph, this particular section is near the start of the course around 2/3rds the way down the hill that leads to a blind turn.
This is the worlds most dangerous public road bike race and, despite these guys being professional racers, still claims the lives of on average 2 competitors per year (this is not including the many visitors that don't know thier own limits on the public roads as we don't have speed limits in large sections of the course)
