    This series is a step-by-step process of all of the steps that I personally took to come to a place where I love my wardrobe. I am not a stylist, I am just a girl, who really wanted to find her style and love her wardrobe. I wanted to have a more intentional wardrobe so that I could get off the hampster wheel of buying the wrong clothes and could continue to enjoy fashion throughout my life, but in a mindful way. Months of work have gone into this, I really hope you find it beneficial!
    Timestamps are in all the video descriptions so you can re-visit these and easily find each task to complete in your own time. You can download the FREE workbook here: mailchi.mp/emilyelizabethmay/closet-curation-series-free-workbook #confusedtocurated

    I just found your channel and this could not come at a better time. I am in the process of revamping my style/wardrobe. I recently moved to a new city with higher fashion standards than where I lived my whole life and I've finally accepted my body size, so I'm starting to buy clothes that fit the body I have. Between the two, it's presented an opportunity to redefine and hone in on my style.

    I love black, blue, and white items with pops of solid jewel colours (green; purple; red; fushia) in my wardrobe. I have found that I never feel confident in patterns, i.e., stripes, florals, polka dots, etc. However, I do love texture. Silk; velvet; cashmere; merino wool; leather; linen and denim. Even in my footwear, leather mock crocodile/snake; velvet; embroidered; tapestry; patent and seude are included. I have downloaded the workbook, Emily, and I can see you have put a lot of blood, sweat, and tears into it. Thank you, I am so very grateful for all of your hard work and dedication ❤❤

      Someone commented on another one of my videos saying that nature always shows us ways of mixing colours. Like flower colour combinations and also the beach “blue & yellow” ☺️🏝️🫶 I thought that was a nice was of thinking about it

    I love green and blue, also white and beige. I am at a happy place in my curated wardrobe. Every day I am wearing things I feel good in! For work, I have a bit of a 'uniform' approach and get the week's outfits (sometimes even accessories) ready on the weekend. I used to love black when I was younger , but now it makes me look tired and pale, so I wear more blue (all shades). Thanks for making this series XX

  • @Ellonor
    @Ellonor Před 10 dny +2

    I am a light spring and love blue and red as colors. I've come to the conclusion that I need balance in my outfits and prefer a fitted top (with a cardigan, I need to be cosy!) and some looser/flared jeans. So I am on the hunt for fitted t-shirts in my right colors, which is kinda hard because fitted isn't fashion now, and a good short cardigan to throw on. I love this serie as this is exactly what I am doing right now! ❤

    What a cool series I just stumbled onto! I love the idea of curating your wardrobe with such intention. I'll definitely be following along. My personal style journey has been going on for about 5 years now. I have a lot of data (and a lot of clothes, lol), but only feel like I'm making inch-by-inch progress on defining my style clearly. My top two colors are blue and green (yellow is a *very* close third).

    I love the cool colors and I am going with all three blues, purples, and green. I also love coral shades on me so now I am at 4! I am a true spring color palate so the warmer shades of those colors just make me feel good when I wear them. Black, grey and bright white wash me out.

      @EmilyElizabethMay I did my colors when I was in my 20's years ago and these are really the colors that have worked so well over the decades. Actually we can all wear any color but need to be mindful of the shade, tone and value as well as is it warm or cool. When I stray from the color palate that works best it just does not feel right and does not get worn much.

    Thank you for this I have been on a style journey the last few years trying to figure out my style.Bought so many mistakes and wasted so much money😢 ,yet I only wear a few items in my wardrobe.I have always been drawn to black as bottoms and then a tan/beige for tops and other warm toned colours, although I am a deep autumn ( black not really in my pallette) I am wearing it now and feel comfortable. Straight pants or jeans are my current favorite and make me feel comfortable, and materials have to be stretchy. Otherwise, I won't wear the items. Can't wait for the rest of the series ❤

    Fushia is my happy color. And blues. Lots of blues. I’m petite and have a similar body shape as you. Broader shoulders and small bust (not your issue.) Tops can be difficult for me to find. I’ve always liked wider leg pants on me because they balance me out.

    Hello Emily! Thank you for such incredible work, just from the first episode I learned a lot about my style. I found that the outfits I like from the last 10 years were following the rule of thirds, balancing my rectangular body and not wearing more than three colors.
