Yesterday I literally asked myself when is he going to do a resident evil Revelations cut content video and today I wake up to this gem thank you!!!
Rachael Foley was such a tragic character who was apparently killed off before she could be used in other projects. She should be used more and should have more exposure!!
I once saw a drawing of Rachel, now mutated into a full on mermaid, rescuing C-Virus mutated Piarce from the Langshang underwater lab. It was an interesting concept. Then again, fans always have the most interesting concepts, up to and including an alternate ending to Resident Evil 6 where Piarce mutated into another Ada Wong doppelganger like Carla Redeams did. Imagine what the series could have done with that oddity. Ada-Piarce backing up Chris in Village... Sounds like an opportunity for an awkward gender bender X-rated fanfiction.

@@davidbailey6917, Unfortunately, the fanfiction writer never finished that story - it only got one chapter, before they dropped the idea. But that's the thing with Fanfiction, some stories get completed and others don't.

This game still has one of my top boss fights. Not much in resident evil creeps me out. The radio operator does the trick though

That final boss Norman was so damn OP. Also folks you might not know this but there is one last weapon to collect on the story campaign. In order to get this awesome gun you need to play on Inferno difficulty and you need to make your way to the pool deck. From there you'll find a weapon parts case and the P90 at the bar. The best machine gun in the game. I didn't even knew this existed just stumbled onto it by accident when doing a run long before the pandemic
I beg to differ. The P90 is pretty weak on paper, and although it has the fastest firing rate out of all the machine guns, you can literally put the fire rate 7 part on the G36 and it fires just as fast and is more powerful
@@ctrikz_tk8745 i mean i guess its more powerful than MP5 you find right before Rachel fight and the fact that you can get it faster than MP5 even if there isn't really anything to use it against other than Rachel

The issue with the Inferno difficulty is that it makes the so bullet spongy
I know that they're monsters but shooting each 30 bullets is terrible glad they made a better hard difficulty in the Revelations 2
I just started replaying this on the switch, it is still an underrated gem
The fact that this was originally put on the 3DS still blows my mind because the game looks really good. And I love all of the sections with Jill because it is this just great mix of classic Resident Evil atmosphere, but the type of control scheme for gunplay and bigger action scenes that Resident Evil 5 had
I just don't really care for most of the parts that you're not playing as Jill
Jessica is one of the worst characters in Resident Evil history, and those two doofuses on the radio aren't much better
Literally replayed this on my 3ds the other day was so amazed at how it looked and the controls were damn good thanks to the c stick
I know what u mean I loved Jill's parts of the story I was ok with Chris's parts but I would sometimes get annoyed with the parts with the two random dudes it's still a good game tho

Dang, that aquatic dog-creature looks GREAT. It's such a shame they didn't put that in there. Because as much as I love Revelations my only real gripe with it is that I wish it had just a few more regular enemies. Even just like, 2 more enemies would have done wonders for the encounter variety.

Honestly I think the infected woman from 2:46 is the most interesting cut enemy because of human it looks comparing to the rest of T-Abyss creatures...what would have been the lore behind it, its attacks/behavior, I wonder
I'm pretty sure the design of Tyrant Norman was leaning heavily into the description of Lucifer from Dante's Inferno. He's got those two fins that look like wings, he uses light to attack (since Lucifer is the lord of light), and his face splits in half to reveal another beneath it, ostensibly giving him three faces.
Resident Evil: Revelaitons is one of the two games, the other one is The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, that convinced me to buy the original Nintendo 3DS and Circle Pad Pro accessory back in 2012.
I'll never forget playing the game and first time encountering Ooze Rachelle (“Foound youu..”) during a stormy night and the power is out.
3:45 - That lobster enemy looks kinda hilarious, though.

1:31 That's a FIM-92 Stinger, the launcher Ada throws to Leon so he can kill Mr. X in the original Resident Evil 2. It's also used to kill Doug in Desperate Escape. it's an anti-air missile launcher.

I was always wondering why they altered the story, seeing Hunk, and what looked like another Spencer Mansion replica in a cruise ship, which actually seemed like that was the case with the two demos for this game we got back then. And the Zombies, kinda would have preferred that, thankfully the game was great. Though I often wonder what original ideas they had to the story. Cause I’ve been wanting a story including Hunk for years now.
1:25 - The weapon below, the STINGER, is actually used against the giant Malacoda in the Episode 11-1.
After dealing enough damage to the boss using the helicopter turret, Kirk will give you the stinger to finish the boss.
Glad you made that mention to this fact, Richard from FBC was actually in an RE game in RE the Mercenaries you could play a portion of the game from I don’t know if it was the beta or whatever version it was but you could see a man being thrown into that window instead of Rachel, so it was playable I know I’ve played it myself it’s on the3DS it was a fun little game.

The cut missile launcher shown with the Mine Thrower is an FIM-92 Stinger.
I remember being terrified by the Demo on the 3DS and the demo of the eventual console port, I did buy RE:R on the Xbox one which was my first RE game I ever beaten
It’s one of my favourite Resident Evil games. I am glad I’ve played this.
If they remade this game, they need to scrape Parker and Jessica and give us Carlos and Ada instead, it would make sense for Carlos and Jill to team up again and he could sacrifice himself for her in this game (like parker did… but he lived for some reason) It would explain why we never saw Carlos again. And they need to give us Ada instead of Jessica, it could set it up for Re6 why Chris has a vendetta with Ada because she betrays him.
They introduced too many characters in this game and just forgot about all of them 😂 if they remade it they could bring back some favorites instead and tie the loose ends.
Why don't you understand that Chris and Jill are together forever and Carlos is a silly side character whose story ended in re3

I bought this on sale for 3ds a couple weeks ago, it has become my favorite RE game. Though to be fair, it is the most recent title I've played, after 4 and 5

My 3DS copy has over 100 hours logged it was so addicting to play. God I loved this game
THe explanation why there is some assets from RE5 in RER original is because, originally Capcom intended to make a port of RE5 for 3ds, this still can be saw in RE Mercenaries 3D, that has stages from RE4 and RE5 and was released before RER as a playable tech demo.
Favorite part was when Jill is gassed unconscious in the room with Parker. After tricked by the Chris decoy.

Resident Evil: Revelations is the scariest Resident Evil game in my opinion. So many things scared me, the monsters and the locations, but Rachel scared me the most. I stopped playing for awhile because of her.

its kind of funny i got the game on steam and i played it twice ones on x box which i finished and now on steam i started playing it but i havent finished it yet got to manny games to play,but i do plan on finishing it again at some point,jill is my favorite charc she just looks abit to much like lara croft in this game.

Content that should have been cut:
Skagdeads in Raid mode.
Wall blisters in general and armoured ones that spawn mere feet behind you in raid mode. F that S.
(Wall blisters were omitted from DS version because you try and use the clunky controls against an enemy that can one shot you and pretty cheaply too).

I really really really hate how capcom doesnt give jill her short hair.
The ponytail is alright i guess and the blonde hair was hideous and a horrible choice. I love Jills short bob and her barret. Idky they keep reinventing the wheel every game.
That zombie dog is I think supposed to be an axolotl it even has the gill frills
axolotls are not sea creatures or sea related though...

I read elsewhere that it was a "proof of concept" video and Capcom hadn't even worked out what the story was.

Man I wish we had gotten that original storyline. It sounded 10x better then the garbage one we actually got. Seriously Rev1 has got to have the most boring storyline in the franchise. When I saw you have to actually play as the excruciating comic relief characters, I postponed beating it for months.

Yeah the additional characters and the absurd female costume designs really ruined it for me. Even the Ooze enemies didn't inspire fear, they looked like humans in costume. Too cartoonish overall. Revelations 2 had a much better atmosphere.
@@Raptor3388 I couldn’t agree more! Plus having an AI partner in Rev2 actually added to the game. In Rev1 it’s completely pointless and pretty much ruins the atmosphere of the ship sections. The other areas all sucked but there was potential with the ship locations. All of Rev1 should’ve just been Jill alone aboard it while occasionally crossing paths with other characters.....oh and better story lol
