Nice explanation
Thanks for the info. Unfortunately my Interceptor is the BS 6 with the Ceat tyres. I have got the Formula X installed in the tyres and so far so good, however I guess I have to just cross my fingers and hope that it works. I haven't yet gone out of Delhi, and I suppose the real test will come when I go out of Delhi. So wish me all the luck and continue posting good and informative content.
Thankyou for the support and good luck with your long rides 👍
Did u change the tyres too ?
Didn't need to... because mine are Pirellis which are tubeless tyres...so after the conversion I continued using them without the tubes.
Thanku for the info. My Baker is 1 month old wid Ceat Tube Tyres. I am really concerned about the Punctures but there seems no way out. As these are tube tyres , for outex kit also I need a tubeless tyre ! There is always fear of puncture while riding . It seems, I need to buy a Meteor or CB 350 for hassle free riding ! 😢😢😢
Or you can do a one time *bada kharcha* of swapping the tyres to any other tubeless option. I know it will be alot of money (tubeless tyres + tubeless conversion) 😐
@@TheTwinPost tubeless conversion is only available online in my City. First I will have to order it then wid the help of local mechanic I may install.
Even I got the kit online only.
@@TheTwinPost ok. Which tyre u suggest if I go for tubeless ? Many are saying that timsun is best.
They are certainly good tyres for the price...depends what sort of riding you do... If it's just highways then any road biased tyre would do (TS 697, TS659).... But if you want to do long rides which would include trails then something like a TS822 would be better
Mil gya video bhai..thanks for the explanation 💕 bs6 wale me purana parelli ke tyre nahi laga sakte kya?
Bilkul laga sakte hain bhai.....if you can get them from someone. (They are really expensive)
@@TheTwinPost Thank you bhai..
Man I was so much inclined towards continental GT 650.
But those fucking rims and puncture issues man and nobody knows what the heck is way2speed and standing with them and getting it done for 4 days is shit waste time.
Heart is so much towards 650 but mind says ktm 390, hence will book ktm 390.
Man no alloys are such a spoil sport and it's been 4 years people r begging with no results
Checked with RE saket dealer about alloy wheels...he said they will not come...
Bhai same guy had promised me last year "Sir Feb2021 me pakka aajaenge" 😂
But yes i think RE isn't going to offer alloys for the 650 twins because they've chosen tube-type Ceat tyres for it.
@@TheTwinPost 😂😂😂😂😂 sab ka kaat raha hai woh..pakdo saale ko 😂😂😂😂
RE saket good for making fool
Hello
Please suggest the correct tube size for Interceptor with Pirelli tyres and the best brand for the tube?
Always go for the Ceat tubes that come as stock with the bike out of the showroom.
The tube sizes are as follows:
Front: 100/90 18
Rear: 130/70 18
You can order these from any RE service center.
Thanks
So tube size is exactly similar to that of tyre?
I don't remember the exact size of current tube but it's quite smaller than "130/70 18"
When I replaced the tubes because of puncture... I got to know about the size... It is exact similar to the tyre size. When you'll get the tubes from dealership they'll provide you these only.
@@TheTwinPost I'll get it changed soon from RE Service center as current tube has already got some punctures fixed.
Hi brother I don't know Hindi sry pls tell me shall I go with way2speed or not , how it's working on off-road
Hi there Zod.... If your bike is running tubeless tyres (Not the current Ceat ones) then you can go ahead with this kit.
It has been performing flawlessly for me for and I did not face any significant psi loss after the installation. In one of my rides I encountered a puncture which hardly took a couple of minutes yo fix just like any other tubeless puncture repair.
@@TheTwinPost thank you so much brother
But my friend bike has ceat tyre what can I do for that bike
For Ceat tyres you just have to use tubes in them. At most you can do is fill them up with slime liquid like 'Formula-X' which is not 100% reliable.
Ceat tyres cannot be used without tubes.
How long does conversion kit take to install
Hi Pranav.... The entire process takes 3 days...
i.e applying the product to the rims and then letting it dry up for 25-30 hours... Followed by fitting the tyres back on & filling up air into the tyres and then again letting it rest for a day to make sure there's no psi loss.
@@TheTwinPost where did you get it done? Did you have to leave your bike there? What was your total expenses with the installation
Pathpavers in New Delhi.
And yes you have to leave your bike there for at least 3 days...total cost for installation was 2k
Lekin ab new tyre kaunsa lagayogey?
Definitely not Pirellis.... A little confused between few options like the TS 822 and TS697 ... I've been planning for Spiti ride soon so I might go for a 60/40 (on-road/off-road) tyre.
@@TheTwinPost 822 will be better, grab them soon, stocks running out 👍
Already out of stock... Will be available next month end 😒
Good review.
But bike ke chal me koi farak ayi keya?
Koi farak nahi hai... Exactly same hai ride feel
@@TheTwinPost thanks. But Mera interseptor tubeless karne ka bad Thora hil raha hai
I also went to RE showroom and wanted to buy Ravishing Red. However didn't wanna buy it with spoked wheels, showroom guys told me that they'll soon introduce the tubeless rims for interceptor and told me to wait. Its been 2 years since then. I guess I'll have to pick Meteor now. This company never listens to consumers.
Hi Deepak...the thing is that the showroom guys mostly have no idea of what's going to happen...bit still they casually pass on rumours which we customers end up believing.
If tubeless is your priority then the only option with Interceptor is to get the tubeless conversion kit and replace the stock tyres with tubeless tyres.
With Meteor this won't be an issue since it's a tubeless unit with alloy wheels....but there is just no comparison between the two in terms of performance.
If your needs are fulfilled with the Meteor then yes why not 👍
What is the experience now? still the tubeless conversion intact and working without any issues? I'm planning to buy, but the only concern I have is tubeless. please suggest.
I've been using this for almost one year now and have not faced any issues whatsoever...in total I got 3 punctures which took a minute to get it fixed just like any regular tubeless puncture repair.
Also I got the tyres changed as well and it's working without any fuss.
@@TheTwinPost awesome, This gives me little hope! Which tyre do you suggest? City and light touring
There are very limited options with 18 inch size
Timsun: would cost you anywhere around 12-15k for a pair (but is hard to find a dealer with these in stock)
Premium potions: Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp.. standard size would cost around 20k for a pair...and an upsize 110F 150R would cost around 37k (absurd pricing)
Cheaper option: Ralco Speedblaster costs around 4800 - 5k for a pair... If you plan on doing speeds below 150 (since these are P rated) - these are fine for general riding plus are good on bad sections of road but if you plan to rip the corners then look for other options.
Great, thank you so much for the details response. Does this tubless conversation kit void manufacturer warranty?
Not at all
Yesterday I visited an RE dealership and discussed about alloy wheels. He said that dealers have been sending constant feedback regarding the demand and necessity of official alloy wheels for twins, given that this bike is not necessarily an off-roader but no luck yet.
Competition is the only thing that pushes companies to make their products better. For RE, there's none in big capacity twin cylinder space so I'm not expecting anything in this regard.
Couldn't agree more man.... I've been waiting for official alloys for over 2.5 years now but no luck. Frustrating thing is that they've been launching new bikes with alloy option (Classic, Meteor) but no words on the this topic. That's the reason I went for tubeless conversion because I got fed-up with punctures especially during a long ride.... Most puncture repair guys straightaway say No to fixing it.... because it's too much work for very less money.
@@TheTwinPost Did you also research about formula x or something similar? Is it any good?
2 of my friends got Formula-X for their Interceptor for 1400-1500 per bike... And when they encountered puncture the entire liquid escaped the tube and filled in the tyres... A complete failure.
The puncture repair guy who took the tube out was pissed because of the terrible smell and the fact that he had to clean all that mess inside the tyres.
@@TheTwinPost Likely that the tyre must have lost some pressure and the nail damaged the tube leading to leakage of the fluid inside. All in all, not an ideal solution since it didn't seal the puncture to prevent loss of pressure. A puncture on this motorcycle is a nightmare anyway, with or without the fluid.
On another note, I dropped an email to RE support to wake them up and they came back with a reply that alloys are in pipeline but no dates yet. Doesn't really cut it for me.
Yeah that's a standard answer which doesn't mean much for us.... No Alloys in near future
there is always a puncture shop within 5 minutes of the puncture...(edited) because most puncturewalas (punture shop owners) themselves put nails, shrapnel's etc., in and around the roads of their shop.
Not if you're travelling to places like Ladakh... Where a puncture repair shop might be even 3-4 hours away.
Plus most of the local puncture shops in Delhi (where I live) refused to repair spoke wheel puncture.
Brother i have interceptor 650 ravishing red bs6 and i want to sell it if any one intrusted plz let me now

Hi Jainendra....you can connect with me on my Insta Id...it's the same name.
*thetwinpost*
Tubeless conversion kit is for new interceptors with CEAT, right?
Nope... Tubeless Conversion Kit is only valid for tubeless tyres and the Ceat ones are tube type tyres hence it won't work with them.
@@TheTwinPost do u have any suggestions for interceptor regarding the tyres that are best suited for off reading and highway travelling, ya fir tyre fat ta rahe or hm hawa bharvate rahe off roading m😅😅😅
With the rim size of 18 inches there aren't many options available.
Timsun does offer few variants some of which are 60/40, 70/30 off-road/on-road based and all are tubeless as well.
In the premium range one can get either the Pirelli Phantom Sportscomp or the Scorpion Trail tyres.
Bhai, mai cancel karwa du apni booking?
3 months se wait kar raha hu Interceptor ki delivery ka ..ab tumhare videos dekh kar second thoughts aa rahe hain mujhe
Bhai bike to achhi hai...bas ek ye tubeless ka panga hai bas... FormulaX dalva lena added safety ke liye... Performance se khush rahoge
Hello I am finally moving to way2speed.Just wanted to know how it's working for you till date..please share your feedback. it will definitely help me
Hi Mansoor... I've been using the the Way2Speed kit on my Interceptor for the past six months now and the results have been really good. Have faced a puncture as well during a ride to Himachal which took just a couple of minutes to fix.
