- I visit Southport, where the football team stadium has just been renamed after a charity, which also invested £100,000 to become majority shareholder. This didn’t sit well with me and now the charity council is looking in to this case.
Also businesses are struggling, with one person telling me it’s the councils fault for the lack of tourism recently.

Wow 😢 Can’t thank you enough for the effort you make with exposing the side of UK life that many are ignorant of and maybe not too bothered about. This one touched me more as I took the family to Southport in 2012, as part of a trip to Manchester for the Olympics. We were so impressed withe the uniqueness of the place, it was so vibrant that summer and we vowed to return. Absolutely gutted to see it’s demise and the sadness on the streets, that’s the real effect of 14 years of austerity and greed. As a family we try and do our bit to help those less fortunate and have volunteered, but it is not enough and the vanity of buying a football club is beyond decency even if nothing illegal has happened, shameful!
Thank you for your comment Stanley family 🫶 I agree, even if nothing illegal has happened, £100,000 is a lot of money that could be spent on more important things in my opinion.
After years and years of neglect under Sefton council, they sold the wood off the pier, who knows where that went, Southport is a mess now.
Brilliant video mate ❤️👍
Thanks Kev, hope you and Dawn enjoy it there this weekend. Such a shame the pier is closed 👍
Brilliant video, very sad that there is so much corruption 😢
Thank you Lisa & Peter 🫶
Live in southport and sad that i cant have walks onthe pier now
All the good work you're doing aside, this video really shows how far you've come in video editing and using footage and information to create really informative videos
I can't believe the drastic change in Southport.. sad
Doesn't get to the people it's meant to help...
🎉
Corruption is everywhere
WEF creeps behind it all

I really do not know why I am bothering to even comment on this as it appears whenever we read anything written about Southport it is always a negative from certain sites. Can you tell us what seaside towns look good in February/March when you did this filming? You should have been in Southport Bank Holiday weekend as we were it was thronging! Your info on the pier is not correct either, nor on Pontins, whose closure has been on the cards for years, again similar to many holiday camps now. They are not the 'in thing' anymore. Debenhams store is closed, yes, as are a few shops, that is happening across the board-however the builders are already working on the re=opening. Your tour is like taking someone to the old dockyards in Liverpool when New Brighton is across road.
