In this world of sound-alike singers its always refreshing to hear The Carpenters music because it was their own sound, no one could replicate it...and no one can to this day...awesome!!
There was a Little Girl in walmart who look up at me & pointed to a Carpenters CD that I was holding, as I alway like to put the Carpenters CD's on top with today's music (if you want to call it that) that they sell. She was with her Mom, & the Little Girl said to me that "Mommy is taking me to see that group" I smiled trying to hold back alot of sadness, & said to the Little Girl that they put on the greatest concerts you would ever want to see, but the concert is in Heaven now.
Remembering this lovely woman and her beautiful voice, on her anniversary. I truly believe that this is a voice that will carry on for another century, easily. How I would have loved to meet Karen Carpenter and thank her. x

Karen radiates beauty in this one. She looks so incredibly full of life when she's playing her drums, which only ends up making me wish she had played them more.^^ It warms my heart to see her happy like this.
