I am installing dreads in my hair for the first time( dreads are from temu) and I came across your video… I was super excited when you said you were from Detroit!!!!! I too am from Michigan, I’m about 45 minutes North East of Grand Rapids so I thought that was pretty cool!! Your video was super helpful on helping decide if I should use these dreads or not!!! Thank you so much!!!
I have a set in from Temu and have had them in a month and they do soften over time and washing. The rougher you are on them the better. The boho chic bundles with the waves and all it gets knotted easy but just have to separate them
I bought a set of 40 Kraler brand de dreads off of Amazon a few weeks ago. 20 Chocolate brown and 20 lavender. They are between pencil and sharpie thickness. No smell and really soft! Still, I soaked them in hot water and let them dry before decorating 8 of them myself. This past weekend I had my stylist braid them in for me. She ended up using all 40 in my mowhawk. I love them and will probably get different sets in the future. Might check out Temu for some. Though, I did buy some Kanekalon hair and crochet needles to try making my own set at some point. 😊
