- This video is a how to diy for removing door panel in the audi a3 8l year 96-2003 i think is the same in the golf iv. i put 13cm speakers in the front (OEM were 10cm) i also made an adaptor in MDF cause the OEM speakers need 3 bolts and normally the aftermarket have 4 bolts. you just need the adaptor, in my case de thickness that i use in the adaptor was 10mm there was no problem about the window glass if that´s your concern . if you want i can send you a picture of model adaptor i made. (sorry i just saw this coment today)

But question, I've an audi a3 3 door 2002. And I would like to know what king of speaker is it at the back side cause it seems to be 165mm but I dont know if its a regular or an oval speaker and I have no idea so far how to remove the panel..

Some say, that the maximum speaker depth is 50-or 55mm in the A3 8L, is it true? because in this video there is a GT7-5 JBL speaker in the front panel, and the manual says that it's depth is around 58mm (magnet-frame distance , magnet-cone edge is around 66mm ). Is it tricky to make it fit? or just need a thin adaptor so it can be mounted with 4 screws. ?

I don't remember the right sizes. When I made this video I couldn't find any already build adapter so I made one in mdf but now it's easy to find it on the web

Boas. Fiz um suporte em mdf. Devo ter em casa o molde original. Mas se não quiseres ter esse trabalho existem adaptadores já feitos para as colunas
Ouves mal as colunas da frente?
Eu ouço bem dos dois ouvidos 😂 as originais estavam rotas e ao trocar optei por umas maiores, mas é verdade que a instalação (AMP) original não debita potência suficiente nas colunas da frente
