BMW M3 E46 Race Car by JR Motorsport in action w/ Lovely Sounding S54 Straight-6 Engine!

- Here's a video about a beautiful BMW M3 E46 Touring Car I recorded in action around Mugello Circuit during the 2021 Mugello 12h race of the 24h Series. The car has been built and fielded in the race by BMW-experts JR Motorsport in the TCX class for special touring cars in the endurance series.
It's powered by a naturally-aspirated, straight-6 S54 engine linked to a six-speed sequential gearbox with paddle shifters. For the bodywork they went for a M3 E46 GTR style.

I've always liked the E46 M3. iirc this was their last naturally aspirated inline 6 in an M car. After this it was a high revving, NA V8 and then they went to the turbo 6.
It used to be turbo engines were rare, now it's performance NA engines.
Ahhww, this legendary screaming saw sound of the bmw - still gives you goosebumps :) beautiful vehicle and track combo
Yes very good straight-6 sound 😍 But the best is the M1 Procar with M88/1 engine.

Especially in the Alfa Romeo 155 V6 TI, powered by a 2.5 Busso V6 that develops about 500 HP and can rev up to 13000 rpm

@@TSunderground I don't think so. Many journalists of all the world that work in cars sector have defined the Busso V6 as the best 6 cylinder engine of all times, for his sound, his aggressive character and his reliability.
And the story tells that Alfa Romeo have dominated the DTM championship in the 90s and in the 00s with the 155 V6 TI and later with the 156 GTA Super 2000.

That's what 360hp and 1400kg goes like. In my case it's even worse: 350hp and 1550kg :(
