Inspired by the Love of Jesus Christ
Verse of the Day (as related to the topic of this video):
"Let everything you do be done in love [motivated and inspired by God’s love for us]." - 1 Corinthians 16:14 (AMP)
A movie I highly recommend: The Gospel According to Matthew (starring a very animated and engaging acting performance by Bruce Marchiano, who plays Jesus). This is a word-for-word adaptation that has a unique take on the body language and charisma of Jesus, and also makes it easier to understand and quicker to read the story. I am hopeful that this movie gives you peace, love, hope, security, comfort, and answers, as it did me, and continues to do to this day. God bless you.

Ratatouille is one of those movies that ages quite nicely with its themes and it’s beauty
Yeah they don’t do any jokes that are sure to be outdated
@@National7575 the aesthetic is nice
@@hoodieap2858 I guess
Its my all time number one favorite movie
Even the songs
As a kid i thought ratatouille was a food made out of colorful pepperoni
You now have 6 sub beacuse of me
I...also thought that 😂
Theres actually a meal called ratatouille
XD
I thought that too LMAO
Definitely the Pixar film that was okay as a child, but phenomenal as an adult. Love this film
My favorite pixar movie
As a child fun as an adult psychologically great
I love ratatouille, even as a kid. My first favorite movie
I loved it as a kid (especially since my parents loved it a lot). Still love it!
Soul: hold my bear
Dad: "You can't change nature."
Rem: " Change is nature, Dad. The part that we can influence. And it starts when we decide."
i liked that one
that is so true
i feel his dad meant to say *things*, "you cant change things" because for him, nature is just the only way things are, he is a rat and he must do his role, but for remy and as for humans ourselfs, nature is just something that exist around us and that we can manipule, because even if it sounds contradictory, changing nature is natural in humans, we change our environment, we change our society, we changed from surviving to living, because we are always looking for a more comfortable way of living than before, so we thrive with inventions, agreements and improvements, because as a double-edged knife our ambition to always have more and better has made us a global-dominating species.
Im surprised no one has realized the grandma at the start is ego’s mom. Same clothes and the same house if you look at the details. He never visited his mom cuz he worries she will be angry at what he has said about others cooking because they didn’t cook like his mom
Actually I think it was confirmed by the director that they are not actually one in the same. They just used the same home design of the old lady’s house in Ego’s flashback (to save time I imagine). I could be entirely wrong though.
@@TheWiseguyt it can still be a truth in our hearts. and i think that kinda rounds the entire story together. even if it isnt true
@@kaiseremotion854 very true on both accounts. 😊
Why the fuck does Ego's mom have a shotgun.
You just destroyed and made my mind. WTF
In the end you should love who you are regardless of what the majority thinks. It's not always easy due to society's expectations of you. But never doubt who you really are. I love the message of your background and heritage. Doesn't define you or your talent. It's what you choose to be that makes you who you are. And talent can come from anyone whose willing to hold on to their dreams. And work hard to fulfil it and not give up to those who put you down. I just love the impact that certain art can have to those who recognise the love behind it.
Hey beautiful how’s about coming over later
This movie and The Iron Giant give the message "You are who you choose to be" very deeply. Such an important message in a world where people think that their lives are molded by the family and/or country the are born in.
And would you look at that, both movies were directed by Brad Bird.
*Bernie voice* : Coincidence? I THINK NOT!!
He also wrote the Incredibles, I think all these movies are excellent critiques of American consumerism also
The fact that Bernie’s voice is also Linguini’s 😂
Superman.

My father was an amazing cook, he always put time, effort, and love into every meal he made for me and my family. He made amazing stakes, greek chicken, and hamburgers (so forth)
My father, recently passed away this year, and while thoughtful, people have tried to replicate my fathers cooking for my family, Though it is not the same. Theres not the same amount of time put into the preparation, the spices, and how he made it the way he did, and a piece of me believes that I will never taste something like that ever again. Like Anton Ego, I am cynical of people. People who claim to have love who ive never really spoken to suddenly entering my life and saying they will do all they can, when it is simply not realistic or have hurt me in the past. They have there own life to live, or they cannot repair the damage they have done, promises mean nothing until they are upheld.
However.. there is someone in my life who I love dearly, who has stood by me for years and years and while they do not cook me stakes, they introduce me to something new and experimental each time they cook.. and it wears down my cynicism, showing me that while I cannot have what I once did, I can find something new and lovely for years to come.
I know this is 5 months later, but that's beautiful bro hope you are doing better.
Beautiful story ❤
This is one hell of a comment. Really well-written, my friend.
I love Ratatouille! It's a bitter sweet life lesson - it teaches the hard reality of the world that if the world isn't ready to accept you, it doesn't matter how amazing you are at something but that doesn't mean you can't find a middle ground where you can be happy!
This video is the most accurate review yet.
Also a rat cooking is a good movie, also it was made in 2007,so that's a plus.
im happy i was born the same year this was

the funny thing is after a long time i didnt watch ratatouille, and watching it now, i did see all the "hidden" messages so this video is not really adding anything new except bringing a tear to my eye.
what a movie
I remember watching this an extremely long time ago.
Your review of Ratatouille actually makes me like this movie a lot more now. Great job. 👍
I really have no words or comment to say but
I'll just leave it here so this video get recommended more
Beautiful video! I hope you can do one on the movie "Up," and/or "Soul." Great job, man. I wish your channel constant prosperity.
Up would be fantastic.
"If someone told me a rat cooked my food after I put it in my mouth, that would be the worst thing to happen to me" yeah the logic behind it is hilariously absurd
Ratatouille and the Incredibles are two of my favorite animated films ever made because of how Brad Bird appeals writing to adults. Hell it satisfied me so much as a kid as well.
"Not everyone can become a great artist... but a great artist can come from anywhere."
And now, i'm inspired. And i'm gonna use this inspiration to start writting a book, maybe.
Love how you included the Inception Theme at Ego’s quote.
I remember how film critics like Richard Roeper, interpreted Ego as a "we fear you" message. Ego also teaches the audience that, critics look for things they love.
I think the biggest morale of this movie is bravery and having the courage to stand in your truth and be who you are. And with the support of those around you, you can make something of yourself, live your life pursing your passion. Without his family and his friends in Alfredo and Colette, he would never be anything more than regular rat. But people finally saw him and chose to help and support and together, they all made something better for themselves. And they all live more honestly and happily after standing in their truth and remaining firm on it
That ending is something else
This is one of the greatest FILMS to ever be made
Ironically Schaffrillas Productions covered that movie as well.
I really like your channel so far. I've only seen this and your last video, but they made me happy. Made me feel a little less alone. It's been a hard year, but you gave me a little hope.
It depresses me greatly that I did not take that exact reading of the critics words when I watched the movie, but upon only hearing and seeing these exact words again in this video, I feel that for the first time I truly understand how powerful that message is. I can safely say, I've seen my own faults.
@MADE2EXPRESS all your videos, from the courage the cowardly dog to the soul to this one, have all brought me into deep thought and lots of tears. You have amazing talent, thank you for your messages and at the same time rekindling all my child hood memories.
- A grown man in his mid 20’s
Ratatouille has always been my favorite Pixar movie. And wait a minute...Alfredo?? How did I not know this was his first name?
I always thought Linguini WAS his first name.
I am wondering why his mother named him Alfredo, was she hungry when she named him? Also for those who don't know, linguini is a type of pasta
@@ntfoperative9432 I mean, he's the son of Gusteau so having a food for a name isn't that weird. I knew that linguine was pasta but I thought it was his first name
This channel is so good man. Subbed since 30k
I remember when you had 40k subs, it's really cool how far you came and how much further you'll possibly go

If you haven't, I *highly* recommend it.
Dude just wanted to say I love that your videos are so short and concise, I have almost no attention span and these are not only fun to watch but insightful and full of retrospect(ive?
That end quote was spectacular
There was actually a theory I heard somewhere that the grandma in the beginning was actually Ego’s mother, and the reason that Remy cooks the dish so perfectly is because he got the grandma’s recipe.
You broke this down beautifully
I’ve watched almost all your videos in a day. I think you just became my favorite youtuber

I love watching this movie, the music, the art, the story..., it’s beautiful, it truly is art all the sense of the way, and I can’t watch it often because it makes me VERY hungry! 😂
This man used sonic unleashed music. Forget the food, this man has good tastes.
Peter O'Toole knocked it out of the park with his voicework for Anton Ego. Thank You Peter and may you rest easy.
You forgot to mention the phrase he gave to Lingüini when he challenged him. ''I don´t like food, I love it! If I don't love it, I don't swallow!
Meaning that he doesn't see food just as something to eat, but as art, and REAL art requires the highest standarts.
This video really got me to think.
Very well done on this video, good sir.
Suppose I’ll have to stick around and watch more in the future

Bruh a rat cooking me a 5 star meal would blow my mind!!

5:14 With all due respect to Ego's flashback scene, for me, this dialogue between Remy & Gusteau just hits way harder. Made cry everytime i rewatch it even though i don't even know how to properly explain why...
But this channel actually explains it very well and i fully agree
4:40 this just made me realize that the story is talking about people of color who often don't get credit for their hard work and get treated miserably for just being born minorities. Never realized that growing up
Loved it and this
Nice analysis!
3:00 They’re some nice words but become ironic as hell when you realize that Guateau got one bad food review and straight died from it.

I've watched this movie so many times. I thought I was the only one that was in love with this movie
Why have you always made the best work of your life for every video, dare I say this youtube channel is your magnum opus.

Everytime Brad Bird gets involved making movies then you know it's always gonna be a masterpiece.
I always loved Egos review at the end...
This is the best movie ever! I’m so glad people still appreciate this masterpiece.
This movie has so nostalgic to me because it was the first movie I saw in theaters
Persona ost is everywhere and I'm not complaining about it 😌
There is something comforting about the movie
Man haha couldn't help but notice you using the spagonia day time music
Man that's super fitting
I've been in the industry for 25 years so I have a unique perspective on this movie and its meaning.
I've worked with lots of people over the years who are a lot like characters in the movie.
Whether overstressed owner who lives in mortal fear of getting anything less than a favorable review from the next critic who turns up for a meal, the demanding chef de cuisine (head chef) who is constantly yelling at people or the neurotic sous chef who actually runs the place (because the chef de cuisine has other responsibilities) who is always looking like he's about to have a nervous breakdown and of couse there's the commie (training) chef's who are desperate to prove themselves but are also absolutely terrified of fucking up I've seen them all.
For me the message of the movie is really that genuine talent is often hidden (especially in professional kitchens) and that sometimes people will surprise you with their hidden abilities, whether it's the dishwasher who has an incredible palate and can taste the smallest difference in the seasoning of a soupform batch too batch or the lowly commie chef who everyone thinks has no idea what they're doing but can perfectly cook an incredibly delicate dish like fois gras taurine or poached dover sole every time he makes it, you have to expect the unexpected and be willing to learn from those under you.
I really love how you use soundtracks off of sonic UNLEASHED, best sound track ever
"To take bold ricks"
lol great vid
i love this guy
As a kid this movie was entertaining and strange, new. But now as a adult whenever I watch this movie I always find some good life advice I wish I took more to heart. New artists either art or food etc are not usually welcomed so easily in the world. It's a twisted path of learning things and learning to take criticism. I didn't know before that it's love that makes the art, love for art is what makes art fun and wonderful. I realized this truth when I lost sight of why I draw, got too caught up in the likes and comments, views etc. To the point I felt no happiness anymore from drawing. But when I stopped drawing I was miserable. I felt like a part of me was missing. Then when looking through old artworks I remembered I had to draw for myself and not for the likes or views or followers but for my own joy and love of drawing. This movie always helps me remember that anyone can be a chef, artist whatever they are passionate! The only limit is your soul.
Remmy isn't "woke". Woke is a completely different thing entirely. Remmy is far more like Ben Carson or Thomas Sowell. Two men who started off in an environment that was not ideal, surrounded by people who told them "this is just how the world is" and yet, (like Remmy) they defied that idea. They all made something of themselves DESPITE where they came from... As opposed, "Woke" is against that and have consistantly denounced these men and principals. Work wants to be rewarded for simply Existing... supposedly because OF where they came from without putting in any effort for their own self-improvement or taking responsibility for themselves. Remmy doesn't blame the world for why he is what he is. No, Remmy WORKS to show that (like Anton Ego finally learned) "A good artist can come from anywhere."
If anything, he's progressive by the original meaning of the word, not the twisted version that we see all over social media nowadays. He recognizes that he can be more than where he came from. That is the message of Remmy's story.
I would be amazed, if the rat was groomed and cleaned properly and regularly and received veterinary care it would be safe and an awesome interesting novelty.
this channel, this kind of content which are such a bliss of meaningful content, he should get our credits for contributing this spark of joy on youtube.
I like that spagonia night at the beginning
Ratatouille understands my love for food like nothing and no one else does. It's freaking art.
Being a film about food is just a bonus
I think David schwimmer (spelt wrong)could be an older linguini but I feel like we don’t need a sequel
nah, this movie is perfect already.
The movie is already perfect on its own. But for me, I think Pixar is very incompetent of making sequels, except for Toy Story franchise or sometimes The Incredibles 2. If I mean sometimes, the sequel has flaws in it but it does have some great moments, especially for the breathtaking 3D animation that took years to make.
@@poweroffriendship2.0 yeah I’d say the only good Pixar sequels we have are toy story and this film is so good because it’s a film that doesn’t warrant a sequel
@@National7575 Speaking of Toy Story sequel, there is an upcoming film based on Buzz Lightyear. I thought the Toy Story franchise ended after the fourth film (it's a great movie), but I realized that it's going to be based on _Buzz Lightyear Star Command_ animated series (or a prequel), and Chris Evans will be the voice for him. I kinda hope that Pixar will give another shot.
