These changes most certainly contributed positively to the survivability of JAL 516 after the Haneda runway collision, decades later in early January 2024.
Just to provide a more recent example.
Well done. Just the right tone with the part honoring how all of us are safer now, thanks to the wisdom they earned for us.
The first time I saw reverse thrusters I almost jumped out of my seat! The lady next to me said you don't fly much? I said no! I thought the engine was falling apart.
Boy, that’s a lot of take offs and landings for a four year old plane! That’s flying it around the clock!
I distinctly remember this unfolding on the BBC Breakfast TV show with Frank Bough.
Lo mejor de lo mejor en video realizado de reconstrucción aérea capi Mauricio saludos cordiales 💯🇺🇲 bendiciones 🙏🙌✈️
Of course this video is only a simulation but if it is anywhere near an accurate representation, the captain should have stopped immediately. Fire = ZERO time. The flight attendant obviously understood the urgency to get out as she was trying to open the door while the plane was still rolling. All the extra time waisted while still rolling only added to the panic.
To this day pilots seem to loose valuable time trying to identify an engine that may indeed be on fire. Without video, the instrument panel alerts are all they have, and many crash videos have shown the pilots are flying blind and fail to diagnose an issue before it becomes a grave situation. Passengers have had to alert flight attendants who then call the cockpit while an engine blazes away. I would want access to video of my entire aircraft if I were a pilot.
Excelente canal de aerenautica muy buen canal de CZcams capi Mao saludos cordiales desde miami Florida bendiciones 💪🙌🙏🛬
Angels from this flight were in Haneda Japan early this year.
Looking at it now this was a 100% survivable accident. At least we have learned and learned well
Great video, just one thing, the aircraft was 'River Orrin' by then not Goldfinch or Goldfinsh as incorrectly spelt on model.
Yes you can clearly see River Orrin on the actual aircraft at 7:40
Goldfinsh? Goldfinch 😊
You would think those basic improvements to safety would have been implemented pre 1985 very basic common sense didnt exist in 1985?.
pilots are at fault did not stop the plane quickly
👻🎃🎃🛩 Happy early Halloween.
IF planes in ww2 have engine FIRE SURPRESSION FOR ENGINE FIRES , then why CANT TODAYS PLANES ? EVEN if any fire near wings it could be used to help STOP SOME FIRES FROM SPREADING IN AIR AND THE GROUND.
They have fire supression dummy but its only so effective because of space available in wing area not like a fire truck which wasnt at the scene quick enough
