Kristaps Porzingis injury update Center nearly set for NBA Finals | NBA news

Celtics big man Kristaps Porzingis says he's 'done everything needed' to get in playing shape to suit up in the NBA Finals.
Injured Boston Celtics center Kristaps Porzingis said “the plan right now” is to be with the team for Game 1 of the NBA Finals.
Although Porzingis and Celtics coach Joe Mazzulla never definitively said whether he’d play in the series opener, both indicated things are tracking that way. The Athletic’s Shams Charania reported that Porzingis is expected to be ready to play in Thursday’s Game 1 (8:30 ET, ABC) after recently participating in multiple scrimmages.
Asked whether he’s 100% healthy, the center said, “I don’t know, we’ll see. I have a couple more days. I’ve done everything needed to get back into playing shape. We’ll see on the night [of the game]. It’s a couple more days and I think that can make a difference. Every day gives me a bit more time to get even better.”
