I was just installing my GTv kit and I watched Tony’s video a little too literally possibly?
So I followed the video and before you go back to the BMS so you hook up front first, or after? does it matter? is it OK for me to attach everything upfront after the BMS has been fully installed-in the order.. I just don’t wanna plug something in incorrectly… I’m new to this Vesc. 😁🤘🙏

Hook up the front first. This is what Tony does although I don’t think he shows that step. With the Onewheel BMS, there is no spark at the controller because it should be off (but there may be a spark when plugging in the second XT60 on the Floatwheel BMS - Tony highlights this).

Thank you, so I will disconnect the BMS and everything back there and then go ahead and connect the controller. any specific order I should hook up the controller? I would think it doesn’t matter because there’s no power to it but what do I know? Always a huge help thank you.!!!

Nope. Just make sure everything’s plugged in where it’s supposed to be and you should be good. Make sure all of the connectors are fully seated as well. Tony’s video is pretty helpful, but just take your time and you’ll get it handled just fine.
      Pro Tips:
      - Don’t tighten the footpad and motor nuts prior to screwing down the aluminum mounting plate.
      - Be careful with the aluminum threads in the GT enclosure. They strip easily (sometimes, even from the factory).
      - Consider purchasing aftermarket gaskets. TFL has a great set (and you can get 5% off with code FIXMYPEV).

Ok, I am watching your video and you are unplugging the controller.. That’s essentially the exact spot that I am at. I am apprehensive to go back and undo the BMS because I was not thinking and I put in new TfL gasket and a little sealant and have it tightened down already🙃
I watched another GTv installed video and he doesn't connect controller until then end… so, I apologize for being naïve, redundant, but is it possible to just finish the connections on the controller? Everything is mounted and perfect and ready to go. Thank you !thank you so much! I just really don’t wanna open bms battery back up if I can help it. Sweet video And thank you for all your continued support, you help us out so much.!! 🙏😁🤘✌️

Ahh. My video isn’t meant to be an install video (it’s specifically related to the LCM), but yes you can connect the controller last if you need to. Just know you are going to get a decently sized spark when you connect the XT60 connectors.

So was the LCM fault only affecting the lights? Or you never got to find out fully all the issues?
Obviously any known fault makes it a write-off I guess, I am just curious if the problem was isolated to the lights.

As far as I could tell, only the headlight and taillight were impacted, but I’m not sure if there was anything else being impacted. There definitely could have been.
Per PEV.DEV (since this is a modified Floatwheel ADV controller):
The “Light Control Module” in the Floatwheel ADV/Pro controls the lights, a buzzer, as well as the power state of the controller.
