- Today's conversation is one that I have been eager to have with you guys - it’s literally been sitting in my brain for almost a year now, after I heard from someone who expressed a desire to follow God but had acquired so much through stuff through her sinful past. It was really hard for her to let go because she did not want to suffer. My friend, El Shakar has experienced this and gone through something similar and that’s why I was eager to have this conversation with him and bring you guys along.

Do you know how timely this is? I am learning to surrender again to God and God told me to give out a certain amount and food today, I struggled alot because this money was beyond what I had planned to give out but I guess God was showing how dependent I am with these things and now, imagine me watching this video, Goshhhhhh
Everybody knows or atleast have a conscience and wants to change, some don't know how, that is why we have to preach the Gospel, to show people that there is a way out
You said something so true and it was definitely an inspiration from God, Ezinne. Paraphrased, you said: the longer we stay away from God and acquire things or build a life that is against the principles of God, the bigger a prison we're building for ourselves without knowing.
This is so profound because an unspoken plan many people have is to "enjoy" life to the fullest, then when they're satisfied (?) and maybe close to death, they will turn to Jesus. But that's just an architectural plan for a big prison. Because at the end of the day, that life will keep them away from genuinely giving themselves to Jesus even when they want to.
I can relate to his story SO much especially the part where he had to block friends - for me, I just changed my number. This was lovely. Glad to hear I’m not the only one who has to go through this cleansing by fire.

When it came to the part of him hearing God and giving out all he had , immediately I felt the presence of the holy ghost and started speaking in tongues .....This isn't a canal message at all 😢😢😢 it's is spirit filled @ezinne zara
When Ezinne spoke about people doing evil and it looking like success, I was reminded of Psalm 73 because even David felt this way too, why are they succeeding? They ( the evil people) in psalm 73 were even saying does God see? Does He know? Even David was considering this things, He tried to make sense of the reason why things are like that until He entered into the sanctuary of God and realised that the end of evil people is destruction.
This is profound! I was so blessed watching this. Thanks so much guys🤍
Here are some of the things that stood out for me:
a). Whatever goes against the laws of your conscience that you keep doing is a slave master.
b). God wants us to have abundance but not for abundance to have us, so sometimes He might causes shortage when He sees this happening to bring us back in track.
c). Evil gains can only be preserved by evil deeds
d). God is not just interested in giving us things alone, He wants us to also have the character to stay there, and with peace of mind.
e). Anything that is of value will cost you!
f). Temptations are an evidence of a desire still inside of you. The issue is having control over them.
g). We need the Holy Spirit. When we rely so much on our own strength, that’s when we actually fail!
h). Finally, if God doesn’t help me, I can’t do this!

There truly is grace for obedience. The truth is that if you choose God the genuineness of that decision must be tested time and time again, through the desires that grip our flesh. Thank you Ezinne, I may not have the things I imagined to acquire but I am definitely not where I used to be and God in his infinite mercies is building an unbreakable character in me that I would not trade for anything. Indeed, thank you Jesus for the the Holy Spirit. Taste and see that the Lord is good. I actually remember the way things got so bad for me I would be telling God that my life is so bitter, I could taste it.
I enjoy every video you put out. It's like a comfort show for me.
A friend of mine shared this with me , thank you Jesus. l am currently going through a season of separation and l have genuinely been finding it hard to let go and find myself going back to my old lifestyle. Please pray for me for the empowerment to obey, l want need grace to do good works.

People always attributing success to physical, world standards, and men validations. People think they can combine the gospel with their success stories. Yes, there is a place for testimonies, but the gospel is enough. People now follow God because of what they will gain from him and not for who he is. God should be enough. Packaging with God, not loving and seeking him genuinely. They just want to identify with the concept of God without allowing him to transform their lives.
"When GOD speaks GOD gives empowerment".
This right here is GOD'S word to me in this season. Thank You Ezinne for the question and thank you for this episode.

How I see it, is not exactly starting all over again.
I see it as God has a set out script of how our lives should go (Just like with Jesus) and when we decide to go our own way we fall out of that script. But when we get back to following God, we go back to continue from where we stopped when we fell out of the script.

wow! this episode really hits home. It is so common among us young Christians to be under indirect peer pressure by the world but trying to serve God at the same time! Like the title of the video says, sometimes you look at the path with God and it seems too much, or you're loosing out on too much. This video is good for me and others who feel like following God is so hard that the old lifestyles seems much "better". God bless you so much!
