- In this rifle ammunition comparison animation there are 90 different calibers, from very small to very, very big!! I did a previous ammunition comparison animation, with about 20 calibers, pistol and rifle. I got a lot of questions about missing calibers. I think this ammunition comparison shows all the missing calibers and many more. The colors are the same for all calibers, so that the different calibers can be compared better.
I think the largest rifle caliber is, the 20mm Vulcan. Compared to that, even the .50 BMG looks small :D
All the models are made in Autodesk Inventor, the animation is done with Autodesk Showcase.
As far as I could find out, all the dimensions are pretty good, which means the comparison should be very realistic.
Below is the list of all the calibers used in this ammunition comparison animation, that last two are no real rifle calibers, but I did add them to give a nice comparison view.
After the entire list of calibers, I show a couple of different ammunition comparisons, like 5.56x45 vs 7.92x39, all the large rimfire calibers, all the .22 calibers, all the "cannon" rounds etc etc
If you would like to see some other comparisons, or if you are still missing some calibers, let me know and I'll create another ammunition comparison video

A little hard to see some of the labels but i am not complaining. You definitely put a lot of time and effort into making this and i really enjoyed the comparisons. Well done!
It would be nice if we could read the labels to the end
Suid Afrikaanse Boer yes I agree
Suid Afrikannse Boer yes i agree too
Yes I agree 3
Yash: ? Every round shown (at least from .22lr) is more than capable of causing death. I don't think you had a point, but if you did: We already know that.
i can read them, youre just blind
Dat .22 Flobert..... so damned cute.
I love wikipedia's description for it:
_Designed to be a cross between the .22 BB and .22 Short, and first catalogued in around 1888 (though probably first made before that), it "managed to combine about all the disadvantages...[of both] into one generally useless cartridge"_
fun to one-hand.
The little pea-shooter T H A T C O U L D N T
He's still a cute lil' guy tho...
Adorably hilarious.
It's so lovable it gets into your heart right away !
Aww no 7.62x54R. It's a very iconic round and has been in active military service since 1891!
only reason i watched it :(
no 8mm mauser either
Ltdeathsquid No, they evade things-if they don't show it, it don't exist. 22/250? They want everyone to get 7.62x39, so your notsoNATO rounds might not chamber on that walleyworld "$69.95 Springcoltinchesterfield" they bought, a name you can trust, ya know. Always felt a lot safer with one I knew personally, not one that didn't just fall off the rack government choked and throttled and regulated to death, inscription and all. .223WSSM, they NATO? (Here's the dumb ? you sometimes hear->) "That fits my AR don't it?" Have a good day..............
ChristineandRusty Comstock I really really tried to understand your comment but it made my head hurt.
7,92x57 are the same ;)
Where's the 45 mm glock assault sniper shotgun bullet round clip magazine?
Only liberals know.
Don't underestimate a liberal's knowledge on guns. They have in depth education on firearms and know all about those "heat seeking assault clips" with "the shoulder thing that goes up."
Gamer nononono you mean 185 mm tactical shot gun automatic vulcan sniper nukes cannon launcher gun projectile minigun devastator clip magazine semiautomatic assault glock beretta winchester steyr mega cannon railgun flamethrower grenade launcher rocket launcher 69382 billion 9001 to the power of 69 billion auto cannon repeater internal magazine destroyer torpedo nuke cannon super destroyer launcher 69.21 lol
@@johngober4088 I bought some Exacto ammo from Ghost Recon Future Soldier for my 99999999 cal glock r 15 sniper shotgun full auto with chainsaw bayonet, assault stock, and assault pistol grip
dont make fun of us liberals i actually have a fully semi automatic 12.7302mm laser star wars blaster chambered in .7303mm glock ammunition
I want to make a wall display with every brass cartridge known to man (just drilling out the powder) but now I realise it will be more of a hallway thing lol
There are literally hundreds of calibers in slight variations.
Then somebody will come over and say "hey you don't have X"
Time to break out the hack saw and extend this bad boy another inch.
A really great informative video! It was cool to see the comparisons. Yeah there may be a caliber missing, but so what. it's still cool!
liberals: Those are all AR-15 rounds
you know man, those 30mm ar-15's, killing kids one depleted uranium round at a time. And don't get me started on that mod for the ar-15 that allows me to shoot 120mm tank shells. Gun control man, we need it
get you facts right man i found a glock 17 mod that allows me to shot hydrogen bombs
@Salty you know at 240 you have exceeded some artillery and now you have access to nuclear artillery shells
Capable of emptying a 1000 round clip every other second.
Does nobody know the difference between a magazine and a stripper clip.
Great video. Almost A+, some calibers missing but ok. Thanks for the complete list at the description.
The best video ever made, thank you for letting me see it.
Great video NiMa!!
I followed NiMa here from his Autocad pages. A very nice demonstration of the product and your skill!
Nice work 👍
Missing a few! Didn’t see the 22-250 or other variations of the weatherby ammunition ?
You (bottom of the spectrum) vs. the guy she tells you not to worry about (top of the spectrum) 😂
Thanks for the video. Very informative. I always wondered how many calibers are out there. But never really understood why so many.
great video, I enjoyed
Amazing work
Great video, very informative. Excellent for comparison. Thanks a lot.
Excellent! Wish I could find a poster like that!
No Remington .222? It is the precursor of the .223/5.56...
Yeah what he said!
They didn't put in any 221 fire ball either
My dad found one of those in a jar in our garage. Don't know where it came from tho
Very nice.
Very impressive cad work. How many hours did it take to model all of the rounds?
Only one thing to take note of is that it is not possible to read the identification labels. The shadow and small print make it impossible.
NICE..Very Nice.
My GOSH that .22 Flobert is ridiculously adorable. XD
Damn i thought i could find the 50 beowulf, but because this video cane out before its invention :v
What kind of voodoo magic is this video. Haha it's really cool.
For cryin' out loud, no .25 Gibbs!
where can buy type 99 rifle bullet,7.7x58mm.Thank you so much!
why does the comparison stop at 30mm?
what is the big ass round at the end?
Ah, .22 long rifle. I always find the shells in my backyard, cause im always shooting when the weather is nice. Love my Ruger 10/22 takedown
Is this a length comparison?? Great rifle ammunition? 3006??.408cheytac?? 12.7x99??
It says "rifle ammunition" how far do you have stretch the definition of "rifle" to include a 22mm anti aircraft round?
faolan1686 950 JDJ
Good video. Showing the differences.just wish you would have put the 450.bushmaster in there. Good video .
*Bumps the side of the desk*
It's computer animation
Wooooshhh
Up to FV4005 Shell next!
I saw no 7.62x54r
30mm rounds are what fly out of Apache's nose cannons. those bullets are so fucking large that even if a heli gunner misses you by a 3 feet, the shrapnel that'll get kicked around is still quite likely to kill you.
The 30mm round they show in this video is from the a-10. Although the Apache and a-10 both fire 30mm rounds, the cartridge in the a-10 is almost twice as long as the cartridge from the Apache
There are actually 2 different 30mm rounds commonly used in the West.
30*113 is what is used in the ADEN/DEFA aircraft cannon, and also the chaingun as used in the Apache
30*173 is a much bigger round used in the KCA aircraft cannon and we'll as much more famously in the A10s Gatling cannon
And you sorted them by lenght?
no .338 winchester magnum? a very fine hunting cartridge.
You missed the
8x50 and 8x56 Manlicher.
Also the 7.62x45 Chech used in thr CZ45 and 56 rifles.
You should not only have full Metal Jacket but also hollow point rounds and what about the rounds for the kolibre
Kinda looks like one of those audio recordings that you record on your phone, but with bullets.
I would love this made into a old rustic tin sign or a bar mat/runner for the gun room.
Very good video, the labels are too hard to read at the end when the view zoomz out.
.416 Barrett?
Were is the 8mm Mauser?
Where is 9x39???
i love this video cause my benq screen can rotate :D
Jet pack so can my phone lol
ETC.?
Time for an updated video?
Thanks! Just awesome, like the other one... But could've been cool with even larger... Like 30mm.
Next step would be artillery shells and that would be a bit too much, I think.
There IS a 30mm, you jackass
thewolfchild As Eric k says: i am blind
The 30x173 I asked for is for the "GAU-8/A Avenger" onboard the A-10 Thunderbolt II...
... as you might know.
Or on a Apache viper 30mm auto cannon
no 8x55mmR lebel? :(
You could do 2mm pinfire to 800mm (Schwerer Gustav ammo) and 914mm (Little David ammo).
Model Download?
Impressive to see the sizes of the different types of ammo, though really, it's hard to get a real concept of how big some of the ones on the far right really are. The largest round shown here is bigger than a tank shell.
Was the biggest here a 30mm? I thought there was a 155 on display.
The quiet kid showing his collection to his class:
Shotgun shell video?
I want a .22 flobert now. That's insanely small.
Where's the 2 bore?
did anyone else look up the 30 mm after seeing this
Yup!
It's the round that the A-10 warthog uses.
What would be great is to do a very high resolution render picture for people to download :)
Is a 223 and a 5.56 really that similar?
You are doing amazing videos, but why you dont put voice comment or maybe music?
Hi Dimitri, Thanx! In the future I think I will add some music to my video's.
NiMa Actually, if you look around, you'll see a lot people don't like music added to these types of videos. Personally, I don't care either way. Sometimes I like the music, if I don't... i just turn the volume down.
Anyway, great job!
No 22-250 or 257 weatherby?
haha, I still seem to have forgot some, sorry for that!
wow! you sure straightened me out...not!
Get a room you two
NiMa Update anytime soon?
NiMa It's a pretty good vid
6.5 creedmoor and 6.5 prc?
No .458 SOCOM?
no .17 wildcat?
no 38special or 357magnum???????
There are 35/40/57/60/76 autocannon ammunition too.
9x39 ????
Razgriz85 they had the 8mm mauser on there. 7.92x57 was right in there
What about .25 and .32 auto
No .45 ACP?
220 swift?
So .22 flobert is the smallest round arround these days? Except for miniature pistols who fire 2mm bullets
are we just gonna leave out 2 mm kolibri rounds?
Somebody should put a package deal together where you get one shot of each of these rounds.
Imagine 30mm out of a rifle
Nitro Expres
Getting lit up by a Vulcan is like getting gnawed by a chainsaw....
No .950 rounds? Cmon man!!!!
Think the 7mm is in the wrong place?
i am blind lol great list
Did they miss 6.5 Creedmore?
7.62x54R?
we basically all got trolled by this video if we actually wanted to learn anything.
Where is the 22250 and 220 swift
Hard to read the labels on most of the bullets
Much death many violence such explosion wow
.222 Rem?
Where’s .45acp, 9mm and .50BMG?
Do one for artillery, with the Paris gun and the gustav in it, pls?
There's a photo somewhere on the Internet showing one of its 800mm (!) shells with a T-34 for size comparison.
"rifleammo" pisrolcalibers and the tankshells next to .408 cheytac arent riflecalibers. It still was a good comparison.
i want one firearm for each round! lol
+ryan motil That would be one epic collection.
the last big ass round was from a heavy artillery anti tank weapon(gau-8 avenger)
@@ahuman2695 well i don't mean you can't put it in a concealed carry handgun
i know here with the largest round fro chamberer rifles is the .950 jdj that is what im calling a beast and i think the bigger ones was tank ammunition
The largest round they showed is the 30mm which is a rifle round used by the a-10
I didn’t know 44 of those
.300 Norma magnum?
50 bmg? 7.62x51? 7.62x54r?
Nvm i found the 50bmg
