      LMAO.
      The toy Chord buddy is a hack crutch where you pretend to play the guitar. You're not forming the chords, you develop no touch or callouses needed to play on strings, and you learn nothing but which button to press.

    I own one myself, it’s awesome. I post videos of myself playing on Facebook with it all the time. The amount of songs I’ve figured out beyond the instructional books has been one of the coolest discoveries I’ve had as a new guitar player.

      @@FerrisB_Stiffler.420 I’ve learned how to play without them, but unfortunately for my my fingers are growing crooked so they cramp up easy, so honestly I’ll just toss the chord buddy back on when I wanna keep playing without the cramping too

      @@FerrisB_Stiffler.420 dude I’m sorry for missing this comment. I still use it every now and again, if my fingers start cramping up, because I’m an old 40 year old man who has crooked fingers, I’ll toss it on, I mean you can learn nearly hundreds of songs just on those 4 chords man.

    We bought one and love it, works awesome for what it is. In fact, my wife just came in when I was playing and said hey, you're playing:-) Yep, I'm a stud:-)

    I've been playing guitar for over 50 years and I just don't think that thing is gonna help. I read the comments and I know that most people on here don't agree but I just don't see that helping.

    Mine just came in today. I'm still learning how it works from using the books, but just messing around with it, you make effortlessly play songs just by pressing down on the buttons and strumming.

    a chord is just 3 notes… literally taught my friend 3 open chords in 2 lessons. that’s like buying a manual transmission car and then making it an automatic cause shifting is too hard to understand. learn the piano first if the strings hurt. or buy an electric or classical

      This hack crutch teaches nothing musical. Pushing a button to form the chords is not learning.

    Got one for my wife sheet loves it has hard time strumming so she is using it to learn strumming from book. Good product for young ones who want to start learning

    I bought one too but I rarely used it. I think I used it just the one time because I got better at playing the chords by myself. It's easier for me without it but I learnt by practise

    I think it's a lazy way..I think g should be learned like g is made,A d like a d should.
    I get it it's showing the string chord but not actually the shape.And that's actually confusing in the long run.

      You are missing the point. Most Folks just want to learn to play a couple of songs (even if it does not sound right to a symphony conductor), not play in a symphony. And if they can play a few songs then they can worry about if a D is being played like a D.

      It's for person who wants to learn guitar at their own pace. If you can see the product demo. It would eventually be removed as one gets used to it.

      But every tutorial on guitar is a hold your hand type of system, isn’t it? Any learning system is supposed to be your training wheels until you can confidently release them and play on your own.
      Chordbuddy is no different. This is supposed to make learning the guitar for those that find even the basics difficult easier for them to want to stay and learn more about it once you break past the basics. Plain and simple.

      @@Angrybirds3452 chord buddy is a lot different than most guitar tutorials we have nowadays online and the apps that show you the notes & chords on fret position and play back the chords. There’s nothing wrong with that. As for this device, it’s more of a physical. Every Guitarist needs to learn muscle memory and built-up endurance like most traditional guitar players. It’s no different from the new devices they have in cars now that teach novices to learn to drive i’ll because they’re too lazy to read the learners manual.
