He would race, win and disappear for obvious reasons. A very fascinating story about Americarna and "racing in the streets" of a decorated veteran of the black community. Not that a race should Define a person who races as we are all sisters and brothers of the gear head community across the world. I was a big fan of the snake Don Prudhomme. ☮️

The kid made up the story to get top dollar at auction. Nobody back in the day recalls a black Challenger ruling streets in Detroit - there was a Silver Bullet 1967 GTX that was a legend but no stock Hemi Challenger can "rule" anything so props to the son that got top dollar and poor soon to be bankrupt Dodge for falling for it with that stupid Black Ghost challenger.

I dont appreciate the officer abusing the patrol car like this and using so much fuel carelessly, the tax payers money going to waste. if the other car isnt a criminal or didnt just commit a crime, dont chase them. putting so many people at danger for a chase that results in NOTHING except the black Charger gets more confidence that the cops cant catch him simply because the patrol cars cant drive as fast lol.

Yes in beginning he failed to really gun it. He stayed in the 110-120 for many seconds. & even later his speed dropped down. Very disappointing for ASP cop.

This is a true statement, cops can’t assume a citizen won’t just switch lanes at the last second because they notice a unit flying up behind them, so yes typically officers have to slow down to make sure the citizens who have a severe lack of situational awareness of what’s coming up behind them aren’t going to switch lanes. Otherwise they’d have some pretty severe crashes potentially fatal.. so yep traffic wasn’t in fact not cooperating with him he had to slow multiple times because people don’t pay attention to anything.

If they get in the way of a pursuit it should be prosecuted as a misdemeanor, upgraded from an infraction.
@@327JohnnySS Interestingly, cars cannot actually be cited or charged with crimes, so you need to know who's driving the car at the time of the incident, which obviously isn't possible if they drop a gear and disappear. Worst case scenario they contact your insurance about someone driving in a dangerous way with a vehicle registered to your name, and your rates go up.

The guy was doing 150 + and the cop had to keep slowing down under 100 .. that charger was out of sight within the first minute or two. Cop was just making shit up after that to keep the chase engaged.

Because people pay zero attention to their surroundings when driving. Yesterday I had a suv blow through a 2 way highway intersection at about 50mph and never even slowed down. Glad I pay attention lol

I think that a lot of drivers become unaware that they are even driving because of the monotony of Interstate driving, and are totally unaware of what is going on around them. My policy is to stop every 2 to 21/2 hours to get out of the car, stretch my legs, fill up with gas whether I need it or not, and then go to the rest room. After all of that, I am refreshed and ready for another round. I have never been a slow driver, but in 67 years of driving, have never had a chargeable accident. I simply pace myself and know my limits.

I don't know but it was a moot point. A Charger Hellcat, even an unmodified one, is capable of sustained 200mph speeds. You'd have to be pretty determined and a really competent driver to maintain such speeds on an Arkansas interstate but nonetheless, a 150mph police Charger isn't going to catch it. A police helicopter can't keep up. About the only hope they have is the Hellcat wrecking out or some well-placed spike strips.

Would not be surprised if that Charger has a special built engine by Arrington Engine Builders to give him Nascar potentials. This would have to include upgrade to transmission and differential mods to handle the brute torque. The car obviously has electrics mods to blackout even while applying brakes, that is how he gets away, he puts some distance and with no brake lights can exit without you being able to tell from behind.
