Skeletons doing mundane things. A quilting shop near me has a skeleton at a Victorian sewing machine in the window and someone in my road has put out 2 skeletons sitting in lawn chairs, just chilling.
Just took a walk around my hood and saw some awesome decorating. My favorite are the waving skeletons and a huge T-Rex that's bonez 🖤🎃👻🤘✨

My style has been so BORING in recent years since I’ve only been buying new fast fashion. You’ve inspired me to only buy thrifted things this year! i was JUST in nyc and also went thrifting in brooklyn but literally every shop that was recommended to me/i could find were vintage/curated second hand shops with insane prices. thank you for the new spots i can't wait to visit next time i'm there!!

I found the L Train Vintage on Dekalb Ave to be super affordable! Got Jean shorts for 6 and overalls for 8!

I wish I could find cool shoes in the opshop!! I only fit into v large women's shoes, and I don't really do heels for comfort reasons, and the men's section is always a bit boring..... I do have a great pair of plain chocolate brown boots that I wear all the time that I found at my local opshop though

ahhh so cool that you were in NYC! hope you had a great time there :D if you ever go back again i really recommend L train vintage/no relation vintage and the goodwill in chelsea, i've had such good finds there! the goodwill is more mall-esque but they have some cool stuff

Was in Paris this summer and this art print/art book shop stole my heart! It's called Sergeant Paper and is located on 26 Rue du Château d'Eau, 75010 Paris. So many good finds but too little time to make any decisions 😭 Also the neighborhood is super cute. There was a great natural cider bar with a tiny bit rude/sassy/understandably stressed waiter. Super french. 😘👌 10/10 would recommend both!
This might be too late, but when you’re in Paris you have to go to Chinemachine in Montmartre and the one and only Thanx God I’m a VIP! (Weirdest name for a thrift store, I know)

The way i gasped when that purple dress showed up. Its stunning. Not so sure about the tabbyshoes, mainly because the dress totally overpowers them.

Omg loved the mini "Ted talk"!! I had no idea you also have a full blown career beside youtube. :O It is impressive as hell that you do such quality videos along a job! I'm just starting with my youtube channel and am in the same boat with having a full time creative job as well. It meant a lot to hear your little reflection. I am also finding it to be a lot of work, but also a lot of joy and satisfaction. And as you've said, it all comes from the same pool of creativity. My biggest issue is actually with self-doubt and self-sabotage, thinking that I shouldn't be doing this silly thing on the side and that it is unrealistic and dumb. As if the video making needs some sort of official approval from someone (??) otherwise, I'm a fool for even doing it. How was it for you when you were just starting with youtube? I'd be really interested to hear more about this, and the inner workings of your "double-life". Anyway! Keep up the amazingly magical video work you do!! Been following for a couple of months and you are IT!
Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to share! I have the tendency to think far into the future and worry about doing things right/failing. SO! When I first started making videos, I made sure that my only goals were 1. To have fun and 2. To see what I could learn. It gave me the freedom to not worry if my videos were any good or if anyone was going to watch and instead focus only on making sure I was having a good time and experimenting. I’m really glad I did it this way! Each video got better as I learned more about storytelling, editing and finding my voice. And.. people started watching! I think less because the videos were “good” (because, lovingly, they weren’t haha) and more because I was just being myself and having a fun time & they felt like they could do the same.
I hope that helps! If anyone asks why you’re doing “such a silly thing”… “for fun” is a totally valid response :)
