When I was 9 months pregnant with my son I walked around the neighborhood trying to go into labor. I was wearing all black with cat ears. A neighbor asked what I was and I told her I was a feral cat. She CACKLED. 🤣🐈⬛Scary stuff.
My roommates and my girlfriend and I are doing a group Bluey costume and we went to the thrift store to find some pieces and then had a little craft night to make our ears. It was such a fun activity to do together!

Not the way my whole body and soul immediately recognized Time Warp was playing when you found the magic 8 ball... Fun fact: I dressed up as a Time Warp dancer for Halloween as a 10th grader. Did anyone have any clue who I was? Absolutely not. Did I bring those knees in tight? Absolutely yes.

My biggest pro tip? If you need to color match a strange color…. Buy white and dye it! It allows you a little more freedom in choosing silhouettes while still being able to have a perfect match! This year I needed a matching orange set 😅
Hi! I could use a few pro tips to get over my dye avoidance problem…! If you don’t mind sharing, which synthetic fabrics would you say are easiest to dye? (I have weird sensory issues with most natural fibers)😅
@@lisa_wistfulone7957 polyester takes dye well, I’m by know means an actual expert 🫠 I’ve just made a ton of costumes for myself … I guess I shouldn’t have called it a “pro” tip. More like “I had a channel where I made costumes and I had ~30k subs” professional…. Which yea 😭
This year's Halloween costume is Isabelle from Animal Crossing! I used a white collared shirt and blue skirt from my wardrobe and thrifted a green sweater vest. I'll be making little felt ears to go with it! I think it's so cute and love that it was made from mostly items I already had around.

omg, YEARS ago I made Lammy & Parappa costumes for me and (my now ex)! They were super easy to make, I just drew the designs on an old white t-shirt and glued them to the beanie & Lammy's shirt. I also made dog ears for the beanie out of (unused) black socks that I just hot glued to the inside! For Lammy, I also made a guitar out of posterboard to carry around. That was a super fun costume to make, maybe one of these days I'll make it again...
I LOVE the idea of the magic 8 Ball, part of me wants to do one with the spinner on the back and making a giant 8 to put on the front....hmmmm!!

GIRL I went as Parappa back in ...1998? It was an easy costume. His hat is red. I'm looking to see how you're going to do the ears.
Ah, you just used your hair. I sewed long dog ears--fur on one side, pink on the underside, and sewed them inside the hat. So you just put on the hat and done.

Strawberry Shortcake's friend was Blueberry Muffin and holy cow would that be a fun costume! Green gingham shirt, blue pinafore, blue bucket hat, and green striped tights. Too cute.
For some reason I really like animal costumes that are still very "human" and look like regular clothing, like your Frog costume at 16:56 . I also like especially the Fox (Loewie De Vos) costume in the musical De 3 Biggetjes musical from 2003. He had a white scarf that represented the white chest/belly of a fox, and a red/black buffalo check long coat, which both are regular pieces of clothing but they successfully give off that fox vibe

1- my favorite dreamlight misprogram was Goofy loudly proclaiming "ITS RAiNinG!" When it was bone dry. They kept this as a feature.
2-That blueberry costume could also be an excellent Veruca Salt
