    Of all the fish in my tank no matter how interesting their colours or shapes are my Pleco is my favourite. He’s such a character the way he just keeps himself to himself and munches all day long. Think that’s probably why I can relate :S

    Good information Lewis, so many newbies go for a common pleco when they start out with a small aquarium and after 6 months the pleco is as big as the tank. I have a albino bristlenose in my 450ltr and along with my Nerite snails they keep it immaculate. Keep the videos coming take care and stay safe mate.

      Yeah i love my female BN. Shes fun and kind of playful. I am new to the hobby and my tank is a bit overstocked. Its a 15g fluval flex. I’ve been looking for advice such as this. I didn’t want a common pleco that gets huge. I tried rubber lip plecos in my cichlid tanks but they got picked on and killed. I’d been hearing that bristlenose were the way to go

    • @cichlidscape
      @cichlidscape  Před 3 lety +3

      Thanks for checking it out. What types of cichlids do you have? The bristlenose may get picked on too depending on how aggressive the fish you have are. If they are Africans, you could try synodontis catfish. Good cleaner crew for leftover foot etc. Not really for algae but they do clean up after a feeding good👍🏻
