Announcer being a wet blanket, it might be the last game at Nassau Colosseum and it was pretty epic, its been a special playoff run from these pesky NY Islanders. If it is the last game at Nassau, it is a memorable one and the players get the beer bath from the fans.
It’s gonna hurt when they get hit although they could get rid of the ice maybe it ruins the ice

Even though the season ended with the Isles losing. Force a game 7 after getting smoked 8-0 in game 5 was a testament of character especially against the champs at the time.

It is a hockey tradition to throw things on the ice, especially for bad calls, poor team performance, or celebration. They won't let anyone bring in an octopus so fans throw what is handy.

On the contrary. That’s the officiating consistency of Chris Lee. He’s the same official who caused all the bullshit in the Habs/Knights series I’m sure you’ve heard/seen recently. I think that needs to be removed (I don’t believe in conspiracies) because he loses control of games every time. Players evolve into prison rule type play because he doesn’t call anything (across all teams). Blatant stuff happens directly in front of him and nothing happens. I’m all for “let them play” but you gotta have a line and the players need to know what that line is.

Why in the heck would beer cans be thrown on the ice? This is not good at all. Just like what happened with Florida in 1995-96. Beginning next season, the local government should arrest fans for throwing objects on the ice during a game and the NHL should permanently ban people who throw objects on the ice from future games. Only people who throw hats on the ice following a hat trick at home should be exempt.
