thanks for this amazing pronunciation course, it's very detailed and well explained. I'm so grateful.
You're very welcome 🙂
Je suis d'accord
Dear Daylane. Many thanks for your support. That was a fundamental part of the speech, how to pronounce a letter. I started learning French last year. I am originally from Brazil and some letters sound similar even some words. I can often recognize the meaning. I'm so grateful to find you on CZcams.
A bientôt😁
We have so many cognates between our languages! I am sure you will learn French in no time. This year is your year to learn French :)
Just completed this lesson. And you have no idea how grateful I am to have you teach me French. You're a blessing. You're the kind of tutor everyone wishes for. God bless.
oh thank you so much, such a nice comment ☺️ I am you are learning with this course 🙂
Thank you, Dylane. This lesson rally helped me to feel this sound 😊🧡
I'm so glad ❤️
I always forget what the aigu and grave are. I usually call them 'up the mountain' and 'down the hill'. Merci beaucoup for putting this course together. It really is helpful, even as a refresher!
That's a great way to remember it Stephanie, but how do you know which one makes this sound or that one?
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane I remember aigu (up the hill) as the sound is more closed (like going out of breath) ’ where as accent grave (down the hill) sounded like it was relaxed ‘ (when first wrote this comment I had it the other way around lol)
Thanks for making it all simple! Good stuff!
My pleasure Dexter 🙂
Dear Dylane, you are an excellent teacher. Thank God that I discovered you, I have been trying to learn the language since last year, and I found your study guide is an excellent resource to guide myself in this journey. Sending love.
I am so glad 🤩 I have a new version coming in January. You will get it by email. The lessons stay the same but they will be added bonuses :)
Merci Dylane pour cette leçon C’est très utile 😻

Muy bien, muy bien, maestra. Adelante y muchas gracias! Le mexicain étranger.
Je ne sais pas pourquoi mais le Mexicain étranger ça m'a vraiment faire rire 😅 Je vais aller pour la première fois au Mexique en janvier 🤩
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane Dear Dylane: I do not live in Mexico, I live in Texas USA, but I am proud of my Mexican heritage. I am also part Argentino because I lived in Buenos Aires for 20 years as a tango dancer. If you go to Mexico, please be VERY, VERY careful, vaccination is not as prevalent as it is in the USA or other parts of the world. Take care and continue your excellent French teaching. Chau!
I love this.
Me too 🤩
Thanks teacher
De rien :D
Please video on prepositions in French
For the next 2 months its only about pronunciation 😉
merci beaucoup ☺️
De rien :)
Merci et bonne nuit.
Bonne nuit Kamel
Its Nice to watch your videos to learn French. I am a new learner to french kindly give some tips to learn French quickly
The first thing you should do is to learn pronunciation so you are on the right track ;) After that, learn French and take the time you need. Quickly for a language is not a greta idea 😉
Loved it helped me a lot ❤️ Love from India❤️😊
So glad ☺️
excellent tutorial
Thank you!
I'm really enjoying this course I've wanted to learn french for a long time. I do have a question which I'll try to ask but typing something isn't the same as verbally asking a question so here goes. When I hear certain word combinations for example un etudiant it sounds (to me) like un nae etudiant. Almost like an n sound before the noun. Thank you again for teaching this course and I purchased the book that goes along with the pronunciation course it is really helpful.
Yes it's called a liaison :) If you keep watching the course, it's going to be in a few videos after this one :)
Thank you!
Thank you for your work did not see link to Facebook I just started taking French in collage
You are welcome :) If you are looking for my Facebook group, the link is in description :)
Dylane- This capsule/video was really an excellent one. Tres bien. Now I know how it is pronounced. I struggled with this for last 3 months. Waiting for day 3 video. Thanks a lot/merci beaucoup! :-)
One correction though Dylane - the slant goes towards the right on alphabet 'E' and not towards left as said.
Not a problem at all 🙂
And yes for us is towards the left, we write it from top to bottom, so from right to left 😉
Merci beaucoup
Je t'en prie 🙂
Thank you madam 🙏👍👍
Most welcome 😊
i wish ur FRENCH PRONUNCIATION BOOK was free...💝😭😭 i downloaded ur free FRENCH BOOK but i want this too!!!
I have to pay bills unfortunately 😅
Just bought the PDF Book lol I'm improving my Foundation in French, definitely essential for my B1.1 level. You're amazing. You're helping me strengthen my basics since it plays a crucial role in the long run.
That's awesome, thank you so much
Merci
De rien ;)
big respect to U maam .love u from Pakistan
Merci ☺️
Hi Dylan, How do we know when to use the accent AIGU in words? Excited to learn from you. :) Thanks!
You have to know it by heart.
this is very heplful!
Thank you :)
Love these pronunciation lessons. You mention listening exercises.where do I find these?
They are available with the book :)
@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane I have the book but I don't see them listed in the index. Am I missing something?
I'm still not finding the listening practice from the lessons. I have the book on kindle and I do see the exercises written out at the end of each chapter but not the link to listen.
Nice one. I hope I could make notes in French next time.
I am sure you will be able to 🙂
You are a great teacher. Please, what grammar book can I buy that teaches the accents in more detail eg. Like when and how to place the accents on their respective letters especially accent aigu and grave
Pauline I don't have one in mind :/ But usually the easiest way is to memorize the spelling :/
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane thank you
I suggest
That you put the English soundex of the French words and letters being taught
Below the French spelling
Because some fellows can’t always understand certain words and word endings
Of a foreign language
Till they understand what is being pronounce
Noted :)
Learning a new language its very tuff for me... but Im Learning my best.. I wish after yrs I speaks franch & understood franch language. 🤞
I am sure you will
Hi! I actually think that the é sound is closer to ‘ey’ than it is to ‘ay’. It’s very subtle, but I think that describes why you say it is like ‘ay’ but shorter. I think of how it sounds when we say ‘hey’ versus ‘hay.’ Did anyone else
Clear... So both étudiante and élève have the same meaning??.... Acute accent now becomes clear.. Thanks a lot
Yes they have the same meaning 🙂
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane thank you
Thank you and I am impressed with your teaching! Would you please mail me the pdf?
Thank you :) You can find the PDF on my website :)
I have purchased all the books. Using the link for the audios does not work. I am able to watch the videos on CZcams. Can you help me get the audio recordings?
Oh no, Did you leave your email on the page? Can you please send me an email and I will send them to you :) info@theperfectfrench.com
Can you hear the difference between É and È ?
Yes
Senaka I am not surprised by your answer😉
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane ❤
yes I can hear it e with accent aigu sounds like Ay and e with accent grave sounds the e in the English word met
Yes I can
Bonjour ! I recently just bought the book. How do I access the listening part? I can't find it in my email?
If you have issues downloading the audio, just send me an email directly or use the contact box on my website :)
Hello from India, I have just started learning French and thank you for teaching every step so brilliantly🥰. One funny part I wanted to point out is when you said "To Listen" in French... It sounded like a Hindi word "Ae Kutte" which means You Dog. 😂
Once again thank you for teaching with such ease.🙂
Oh oops :D
This is a great series, I'm on my second time through.
If english speaking people use the word école, they seem to put the stress on "-cole" but you put the stress on "é-". Is there a rule here?
I couldn't hear where the stress was on "élève".
Second time? That's awesome :D
The stress is mostly at the end of the word in French. Here I over pronounce the sounds that's probably why you hear the stress on é ;)
i bought the paperback and i see the listening practice but where do i find it so i can listen?
Hi Tee :) just send me an email at info@theperfectfrench.com and I will give you the access :)
Not sure if you know Spanish, but would this be the same as the Spanish e?
I don't know Spanish no :/
Hi sorry to ask again but I am not a fan of the e-book. Still looking for the actual physical book that I can purchase. Will it be on Amazon?
It's supposed to be but they are giving me a very hard time. They make me change something every day and reapply. Since it has to be reviewed manually, it always take 24h. I have been on it for 10 days now, but I hope that today is going to be the day 😅
Do I have your email? I can send you an email when it's ready
Yes u have my email. Merci Dylane
je posé un question. La accent en Francais (aigu, Grave, Etc) puet assui faire Liaison? svp, Merci, Tres bien
J'ai répondu mais je pense que mon commentaire a disparu!
É ne peut pas faire de liaison, mais le son É par EZ - ER peut faire la liaison. Regarde les leçons à propos du son É et à propos des liaisons
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane Merci pour la très bon information.
Do you offer private lessons?
I don't no :/
Can u explain if there is like a way for us to remember how to pronounce the whole alphabet easily ?
That would be mostly practice :/
I would really love it if the words were pronounced in French but written out with English spelling.
The pronounced spelling is really hard for me.
Thanks so much.
One question
While "Une" is used as "A" for writing "A school" or "A television" then why "Un" is only used for writing "A couch"? Can you please explain it will be helpful.. Thank You.
Because nouns have gender in French :) Une is feminine and is followed by a feminine noun (école/télévision) - Un is masculine and is followed by a masculine noun (canapé). Let me know if you need more help with it :)
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane Thank You for the reply. You are very nice. 😊
comme un étudiant avec aucun l'argent ces videos sont l'or. Je pensais la prononciation été comme "I" en anglais ensuite quelque il change de à "ay". Luckily I decided to go back to the basic to make the language click.
Back to the basics is the best to do for languages!
And it's my pleasure 😉
The accent is to the right for é. I know it may be a pain to redo the video but it is important to have the students understand the true difference between é and è.
I just checked the whole video and the accent is right the whole time. AT what time in the video do I have the accent the other way?
when do we use - etudient or eleve?
They are synonyms so you can use the one you want 🙂
Any book from a1 to c1 or higher
Did you check the list of books I have in the description box ?
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane yes thanks a lot your so kind
Bon apremidi Madame.
The letter E with Accent Aigu have a exact the sound like English A.
A little bit yes 😉
[1] no question right now but after some replay I might ask😀.
Of course 😀
❤
what is the difference between "Un élève" and "Un étudiant"?
Technically they are synonyms but we use "élève" more for kids / teenagers , and "étudiant" for adults.
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane Merci très bien
Pls help me because I. 3:37 she says nay why ?
Keep watching the playlist and you will learn about it :D It's called a liaison :)
Thanks :)
Would you please mail me the pdf ?
Thank you and I am impressed with your teaching!
🇫🇷👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
🥰
Bisou bisou
I have a question---- why the 'n' in 'un étudiante' and 'un élève' combines with 'é', but the 't' in 'accent aigu' doesn't combine with 'a'???... Such types of joining really confused me!
You could link ACCENT and AIGU, it's up to you in this case. I have a lesson in this course about LINKS, you should check it out 🙂
@@TheperfectfrenchwithDylane ahh.. Ok I have to check then
Alphabet later R - pronounce is very difficult for me.
Keep practicing :D
The accent aigu is pronounced like the English (A) but much shorter
True :D
as a Brazilian, it's easy to pronounce some things, but others sound like a drunk english is talking to me
That made me laugh 😂
I think you're ignoring the fact that there is a stop at the end of this letter. It's not hay, it's more like he-
I over pronounce everything so people can understand ;) Not ignoring anything, I just know what works from years of teaching
Wait sorry, I didn't mean to say it like that. I'm actually asking. Is there a glottal stop at the end of this vowel or not?
I pinched my nose too hard! WAA!
