Donington Park - Crash and Action - 750MC Weekend - August 2022

- The action from another very, very warm weekend of racing, this time from Donington for the 750 Motor Club's visit. As always seems to be the case with Donington, it provided us with brilliant racing, and a pretty long video; can't say there was a single championship here this weekend that didn't float my boat! With huge grids of cars and such a variety of series', the 750MC really pulled it out of the bag to give us one hell of a meeting, already looking forward to next years. I will apologise for some of my filming, towards the end of the day(s) I'm just staring into the sun; its not easy to see what's going on.
In regards to the Clio 182 roll down the Crainers during qualifying, I am glad to be able to say that the driver is doing okay, had a trip to the hospital shortly after and was back at the circuit later on that day with just a few cuts and bruises. Did have a chat with him afterwards and sounds like it won't be the last we see of him and hopefully he will be back on track before you know it, best of luck Mike!
I will upload another video tomorrow focusing on the incident with more of a raw edit, showing the recovery and aftermath.

That's some barrel roll for the Clio... really upsetting to see [as a Clio 182 owner myself]... hope the driver wasn't too shaken up by it. Glad to see he got out OK.
It really kept the momentum up as well

They must be the car type that has the most barrell rolls per season ratio, right?
I may be completely wrong but I think this is the first Clio I've seen roll in person, though mind you the old Clio Cup cars spend most of their days on their lids...

Mostly on the Saturday races though that never made TV lol
Sorta honest question about them bmws, but guess they aren't good race cars? See them spinning out more than the mr2s in the race?
I'm the one that went off without spinning 😂 because they're so heavy and lacking in power once they go it's actually quite hard to get them back, whereas a more powerful or lighter car you could just powerslide through these just bog down. They drive like a front wheel drive but without the benefit of being able to boot it to save a slide!
Also good old youtube, not letting you select the roll for the display image of the video so you won't get the boost of views.....smh
I can actually select what ever thumbnail I want if I screenshot it, try to get one that has a decent resolution but I'm not sure what works and what doesn't. Some odd thumbnails have ended up doing quite well.
