Super glad the apartments I work for removed all of the garbage disposals before I ever came on. In my experience most people don't know how to properly use, clean and maintain a disposal and it only leads to clogs.

I took disposal's out of my apartments. Nothing but problems with idiots trying to put everything down them! Especially when they have that baffle type connection.
I work at a Marriott Hotel and the other day a guest was complaining, "water is not hot enough" 122° 🤣🤣🤣

Dang bro you need to be wearing some gloves when you’re cleaning out drain lines. Especially with that open sore you have on your thumb. Maybe you didn’t show it, but why not remove and clean the trap while you have the system open?
I think most people don't realize how dirty everything is. Do you wear gloves when you handle money? Change? I'm not freaked out about bacteria coming in contact with my hands. I also wash my hands after I do these types of repairs. The only time I wear gloves is for protection against cuts and rubs such as a drain cable, or if I am going to get covered in grease, as it's a pain to wash hands clean from that. I've done it this way for over 20 years, I will never change that, and I am willing to bet my body is way more efficient in fighting off bacteria and viruses than someone who wears gloves all the time. About the drain trap I did look down there with a flash light. Water is pretty good a flushing those clean if it were clogged up I would know by sound and sight of the water draining 👍
