    I’m deeply sorry they cut you off. I started from the bottom, tech, Sup, now working alongside owners, city/county and investors. I find myself sharing your videos to teach my coworkers and give them the edge I never had. Thanks man, I’ll continue to watch as I’m sure we can all still learn more from ya.

      Thanks Jonathan. Any ideas or suggestions on training that your co-workers need please let me know I am really trying to come up with an answer to helping out techs in this industry

    Great watch Dave as usual 👍 I like that you take the time to try repair rather than replace components as they falter! You can learn a lot more by diagnosing and it’s a greater sense of achievement I find 🙌 look forward to the next

    Speed Queen is the only decent washer built today. I have a 40 year old Maytag that works great.

    I live in an old apartment complex. I've had several leaks coming down through the my ceiling from the apartment above, over the course of several years, as well as having experienced, gurgling and foaming toilet bowl incidences, and sudden instances of dripping faucets...out of the blue. Suffice to say, I have endured too many leaky situations over the years...to feel settled about. Consequently....from time to time, the unit above me would summon a plumber, and things would be okay for a while, then before I knew it....another leak. Most recently....I was using the kitchen garbage disposal and had the light above the sink on as well. I have never experienced anything wrong with the operation of the sink or disposal, sans brownish water and the tainting of my water faucet with white spots. All has been functional aside from those two factors. All of a sudden....the disposal stopped working and the light went out. After some research, I found that both of the outlets...on the wall of the disposal and light....were out cold, meaning, no juice at all. Even after I had toggled the GFCI buttons, and checked the breakers, which were found to be in the correct position. Nonetheless, for good measure, I toggled the breakers as well. This happened on Wednesday. Thursday, I woke up to find that 'miraculously' not only did the disposal work, but the light above the sink and the two wall outlets....were working perfectly, and I hadn't touched a thing. Today is Friday, and the only repercussion from Wednesday's incident is that the disposal is still dripping. I have a coffee can underneath to catch all. It seems to be dripping at a reasonable rate and not pouring. The day that my outlets, disposal, and lights stopped working....I could hear that the upstairs unit was undertaking some kind of plumbing fixes. Being home, and the units being old and poorly constructed...I can 'hear' lots...For instance...it often 'sounds' like the water from upstairs coming down my wall between the bathroom and the kitchen. It's very loud, and was even shocked the first time I noticed it, and took a video, just to capture the loudness of the water I could hear from the wall. With all that I have relayed........Do you think that it's possible....that the plumbing issues coming from the unit above all these years, as well as their 'attempts' to fix the plumbing....probably with non-professionals....are affecting my unit. Please respond if you can. So....my story...is not a fun story. I seem to get the brunt of leak after leak...with a not-very-responsive landlord ( the unit above) that lives out of state and has, in the past, tried to make light of the leaking issues. My feeling is that he is renting as section 8, has owned the unit for many years, and obviously....does not care too much about the leaks I have experienced....as well the huge inconvenience...time and time again. What are your thoughts...about the continuous plumbing problems, and....my recent incident with the garbage disposal.....et al?????? Thanks so much...if you have a clue!!!!

      @ApartmentMaintenancePro  Před rokem +1

      I can't comment on the garbage disposal and lights going out and then back on, no clue, would have to be there to troubleshoot and see the problem recreated. As far as the leaks it doesn't sound like the problem is getting fixed, while it may not be directly affecting your unit it seems that it is affecting your sanity.

      Lights going out could be a bad fuse outside at the meter and / or outside outlet getting wet

      In regards to the electric issue…Sounds like a lose wire in a possible outlet or light switch … if the tech finds the starting point where the electricity stops that’s probably the outlet or light switch that needs replacement or wires adjusted

    I had a vender replace GFCI's 3 different times in 3 houses and they wired the GFCI's incorrectly all three times lol. Didn't matter how many times I explained to them how to wire them correctly, they did the opposite.

    Question how much can a person make in the maintenance industry if they have 2 years experience
    And obtain epa certification and CCPL

    • @ApartmentMaintenancePro
      @ApartmentMaintenancePro  Před rokem

      All depends on what part of the world/country you are living in. 2 years exp with those qualifications here in Denver would start out around $19-$21hr with benefits.

      Nice! this place started a water heater closet audit and they are finding several meters leaking so will probably be changing out quite a few here in the near future!
