Absolutely phenomenal video! It is very interesting to see how profitable nostalgia is to entertainment right now. I imagine as a kid growing up right now, it is very odd watching these movies, as most of the substance of them requires prior knowledge before watching. Knowledge a kid right now wouldn't have, due to being born after said movies.
While writing the script, there was so many things and I 100% got overwhelmed 😂 But yeah I actually never watched The Karate Kid but Cobra Kai is definitely part of the Nostalgia Paradox!

6:00 The film's plot and the introduction of anchor beings were the main issues. The lack of a cohesive multiverse concept and inconsistent rules made the film a disappointment. The nostalgia bait wouldn't have been a problem if the multiverse had been handled with more care.
For me the biggest issue was Cassandra Nova. Inconsistent motivations. She just randomly came back in the end and is like “Alright, let’s screw things up.” But yeah I agree, need more info on anchor beings.

Imo there is no problem with criticing something which you love (consuming), because it‘s just show how much you care about what you are consuming. It‘s simple: critical thinking and it‘s obvious that a lot of Marvel fans haven‘t much of it. And in case of Nostalgia Bait, it’s just a desperate move for an easy cashgrab, but ppl don’t care eventhough they’ve been fallen for this trap multiple times. It‘s like dating multiple times you’re ex eventhough he/she isn’t even the same person anymore that you knew, but you still try to revive the past And it‘s not like I didn‘t enjoy the cameos they gave us in D&W (I wouldn‘t even count Tobey and Andrew as they are already small supporting characters), but I‘m at least aware that it‘s also a little bit desperate. But honestly nowadays Fans are more like mindless consumers being controlled by a multimillion company. And if someone criticises something, then it‘s only because of rage bait. God Marvel Fans are already like faschists. I know it sounds very harsh but if you think about it, there‘s a truth behind it. I just hate the fanbase day by day more, because they dictate what it‘s literally considered being good cinema, eventhough there are lots of better movies out there.

I stopped watching Marvel movies after Endgame. I'm glad I did, it was getting a bit played out even then.

Yeah I agree. I would say though fans of anything are guilty of just loving it all. But MCU fans for sure are the worst culprit.
