One card I want is a Gem Knight Fusion that requires a Spellcaster so you can use Merchant to summon something in the extra deck. Call it oh I don't know "Gem Knight Paladin"

anyone thought of running the vernusylph monsters with the gem-knights all being earth ?
1 month late, but it's decent on paper, but then you remember that crystal rose is a light monster, so it sucks as you rely quite heavily on that card, especially in the ftk orientated builds. Might be alright in other versions of the deck though.

Absorb Fusion locks you into Gem-Knights for the entire turn. You wouldn't be able to special summon extenders like Gallant Granite or Crystal Rose. The hard once per turn clause on Absorb Fusion also means drawing more than 1 copy makes the 2nd copy a brick. It's not really worth running when you already have good searchers like Phantom Quartz and Armadillo
If anyone's interested in a very consistent ftk versio n of gem knights, I just built one and It ftk's in around 90% of opening hands. The secret is using a minimalist punk engine of 2 ze amins 3 etels, 1 foxy, deer note to make chaos ruler and zombie vampire. As well as this, I run a super small tearlaments engine to make kitkalos to mill 8 more. The punk engine also runs a jet and a plague to assist in making garden rose maiden, who searches black garden. Black garden is the core of thr ftk, so play 3 of it + any means to search it. Off all thr mills, you hit gem cards, and off black garden you can 2 hit with master diamond + lapis lazuli. Also, unicorn in extra just incase you need to spin back master for an extra hit.

Lady brilliant diamond is more useful in master duel, but she can come up in this deck, especially if you brick on only gem knight monsters with neither a crystal rose, black garden, tearlament or the punk engine.
Apo insulates the later portion of the deck from handtraps. ie master diamond and lapis lazuli burns. Problem is, alot of the time the ftk is viable, but she's too expensive to negate. Also, black garden halves the attack of all face up normal or special summoned monsters when they're summoned so apo will spawn with 1 negate if you used less than 4 mats.
Experimental cards
There is a gem knight fusion monster that requires a gem knight + an aqua monster. I think it will be useful for the deck as you can make it off the tearlaments. And it can use dead tearlaments in hand to get a gem knight body on field.

Is it possible to make a gem knight and crystal beast hybrid deck or are the archetypes too different to merge?
My guy… whats your motive here? I feel like you either searched this deck up or just dont really know much about Gems personally. But this deck DEFINITELY wasnt built by a process of filtration thru years of play because those Monsters selections/ratios dont make much sense, i bet you brick OFTEN lol
