    Honorable Sir,
    Assalamualaikum.
    In BNBC 2017, Wind load calculation for Enclosed and Partially Enclosed building (section 2.4.11.2) requires to design a shed building using:
    1) both Positive internal pressure coefficient +GCpi and Negative internal pressure coefficient -GCpi (Figure 6.2.5, Note-3)
    2) both External pressure coefficient, Cp (e.g. -0.9, -0.18) for ROOF (Figure 6.2.6).
    If I consider the wind direction is Normal to the Ridge: +Wx
    *(Roof angle< 10 degrees & h/L

      @Decodebd  Před 4 lety +1

      We need to cover loading in 4 directions because there may be different opening areas in different sides. So all load combinations we have to include considering 4 direction of winds and considering +GCpi ,-GCpi .

    Nice work. i have a queries here Q#1. how windward side has been divided to two parts 0-4.56 m and then up to eave height.
    and is there any generic equation to get wind pressure, like one i have found from literature is 2.456e-5*V^2*H^(2/7). is it okay to use it.

    Hello thank for video. I am civil engineering student and have a question, in Etabs is it possible to do what you are doing at 22:46. I mean I dont want to put my wind load for each column separetly I want to do as you done as a area load because there is too much column in long edge of my building.

    Sir, we have two values of "Net pressure" (+GCPi) & (-GCPi). Which value to consider in design? Can't we subtract both values and consider the resultant + and - sign, as to find is it towards or outwards the surface?

    • @Decodebd
      @Decodebd  Před 4 lety +1

      Both cases we have to apply on the structure. This is not the simple math to calculate sum, this is internal pressure for different cases.
