- An international team of scientists spent two weeks exploring deep waters off the coast of Chile. They set out to characterize the microbial and macrofaunal communities surrounding the Atacama Trench. The researchers observed incredible biodiversity, collected samples for further study, and located Chile’s deepest and most northern cold seeps. At 2836 meters deep, the seeps provide chemical energy for deep-sea animals living without sunlight, offering insights into the conditions that led to the development of life on Earth.

For the love of God please get a different editor. You are the only institution with high quality footage like this and you are putting it out edited like its a pop music video. I'd like to be able to each species for more than half a second. If I could pay for the unedited footage I would. It's infuriating.
Get a vacume arm to extract specimens!!!
I love your work (and the beautiful videos that are the least important results) but is "Living Fossils" really a meaningful term? These are creatures related to creatures found in fossils, but they must be distinct, if only because these are deep sea.
