Your opponent has a much faster car 10.1. You get a 3.4 second head start. So whoever has the best reaction time plus runs closest to their time without running faster wins. Say your opponent runs at 9.90 and you run 15.5 you win he ran to fast of a time called a breakout. Start to early red light and lose. Still neat to see the difference in action- To the POSITIVE comments: I just LOVE how you hear the drag trucks wheels spinning THE WHOLE WAY DOWN! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤘 WHAT a BEHEMOTH! BUT- I see BOTH times appeared to be set for "13.00": obviously not accurate for the green truck- so, did they hit the mark or breakout!? If that time (sorry, I dont know all the technical terms) had been set for 20.45, they would have technically won for being closer to his time... or maybe that only works if the blue truck had clocked "12.99" and brokeout? Either way it's cool to me! Now for the negative- ALL the HATERS?! F*CK ALL Y'all trolls. The drag truck is a thing of Beauty! In Quebec they drag them uphill fully loaded with lumber . Quite the spectecal to behold
The "wannabe" is the only real truck though.
The "wannabe" is doing the best they can with what they can afford. And I am sure the "dragster" would get smoked by many other trucks on this planet, therefore that would make the so called "dragster" the "wannabe".
I dunno. That Wannabe is how the 12V71 was intended to be.
Well compared to the company trucks of today I'll take that old truck with the manual transmission in it gladly
I think the suspension would give the green truck a way better advantage, it would've launched way harder if it didn't have the axles bouncing all over the place.
I love the cloud of death they both leave behind. Al Gore would probably shit himself if he saw that....
Its doing a burnout through the starting line for me.
Not sure I follow the logic here with these comments. The guy in the blue truck spent a lot of money to make it that fast only to be criticized that it can no longer serve its original purpose.
If thats the case then why drag race at all?
If you want a work horse then go watch a video of a truck driving down the highway.
I don't know, I thought it was cool.
Just some people out at the track having a great day. Good for both of them
I'll take the "wannabe" over the single purpose lawn art 8 days a week.
Truck to left was finishing 1 last text. His wife texted bring back milk after you win ok,tires screeching lol.
Just seen a video of bringing this blue white truck back to life.
Thank you youtube just what I needed
Both trucks are awesome
Nice job Cletis, you win the meathead of the year award.
What a waste of a Pete. Oh well. To each their own. Hats off to the dude driving the real Pete.
That was the worst drag race ever between 2 of the coolest trucks that are still alive today.
Seriously....a 13.55?
I live about 2 miles from Detroit Diesel plant and grew up listening to them scream all day and night around here.
Makes my heart warm.
That an International drag truck?
And that my friends is why they call them the Buzzin Duzzin!!!!
Wheel spin the entire strip, yeahhh
Well. I was excited to watch this cuz these trucks are BEAUTIFUL.
The title "wannabe"- a bit derogatory... Coulda been wittier or classier- like the description: "Cornfield Corvette (I LOVE the name "Cornfield Corvette", BTW after a second look at the paint job!) vs [say, "Classic"] V12 Peterbilt" but whatever. Still neat to see the difference in action-
To the POSITIVE comments:
I just LOVE how you hear the drag trucks wheels spinning THE WHOLE WAY DOWN!
Now for the negative-
ALL the HATERS?!
F*CK ALL Y'all trolls. The drag truck is a thing of Beauty! AND the (I assume stock) hauler too- seeing how it moved with all that torque not having a load to focus on! Man. BOTH trucks are cool as Fonzie... or Lemmy Kilmister. Whatever. Throw tiny penises around with comments- this was pretty cool. Hearing them both makes me feel "Maximum Overdrive" all day. 😎 Thanks for sharing.
Also, just curious- where is this located? The powerline poles in the background look unfamiliar to me...
Joshua Chapin This is Woodbury, Oregon. The guy in the booth screwed up the times and ascot was just for the fun of it, the driver of the blue truck decided to just take a guess at it and counted it off. Ended up a little too early, but made for a fun blow by. There should be a link around here somewhere to a friends CZcams page with video from inside the green truck.
@@66stang357 killer! Thanks man, they're super cool and absolutely beautiful! You did something right to generate controversy around all the comments. I dig your channel too, thanks for sharing, keep bein awesome.

Thank you dude, for your spot on comment! About the only one with any sense in the whole comments section!
Both are race trucks by the way. The guys are friends off track. Both are awesome rigs!!
20sec is still kinda impressive for a semi tho...
The stands are packed🤣
Damn I love the burnout!
Yes that was amazing burn out !!
I'd be interested to see the green one run with a hitch mounted as rearward as possible, and maybe normal dual wheels.
i like the green one the best
Must be nice to breathe in all that black smoke. MR WELSH ONLY
