    If I put this in a coat closet, would it still serve its purpose as a burglar alarm does it have to be installed in the open? I'm doing a DIY alarm system called Konnected and my current siren is not compatible because its a speaker. I would need a siren driver to make it compatible but a siren driver is twice the price of this unit so just wondering if it would work for my situation.

      Tippy it would work but the sound would be extremely dampened. If you want it to be hidden you could try something like a cold air return

      The panel I was using is like 20 years old. I recommend you get the newer vista 20p. Same controls as the system I demonstrated in this video. It can also support wireless sensors if you get a receiver.

      @carpetrug01 Před 5 lety

      I only want a wired system... I dont like those huge wireless clonkers plus I don't like batteries... Do you think that's the best wired one? Or is there any that I can connect outdoor cameras to and a doorbell so I can see who's at the door when someone rings? and talk to them?
