- BOATS GO FLYING AT HAULOVER INLET!! | Rough Waves!
A rough day mixed with heavy boat traffic always produces great content. Haulover Inlet was firing on all cylinders this day, and some boaters are up for the challenge. Do we go slow, do we go fast, do we cut the wave? You better figure it out fast, because you're on the clock the minute you cross that bridge. Hope you guys enjoy this one. There will be a part 2 due to lots of extra footage.

That Seavee @ 3:16 had a great line. Ripped right out of the outlet.
Drive it like it's a rental!
Most fuckups go to slow. One thing I don’t get is why the hell ppl don’t use lite jackets, but it must due to stupidity. Of all haulover clips I’ve seen I can’t remember one with any kind of floating device. But there are plenty of hot dog ppl floating araound.. Where I’m from we call ppl with fenders out while you’re on the way hot dog dealers.. Can be a rough translation but having fenders hanging outside while tote on the way is poor seamanship.
That seavee was cutting through those wakes
the more I watch these videos the more I realize you just gotta put the hammer down man
Feeling nice and safe here in my comfort zone watching others nearing the brink of calamity.
Yduh
Another way of politely saying u can't afford a boat..
Freeman , the most supreme fishing machine on the planet! Eats Waves like child’s play!
They need to start putting on boats HAULOVER CERTIFIED like Jeep does with their trail rated
I'd be happy to assist in a project like that lol.
Qualified captain sells all kinds merch. Why not make up some?
I love how the TowBoatUs rib is just sitting out there waiting for somebody to mess up and get towed
Nothing wrong with going back to the dock and waiting for a better day!
The yacht in the end was bad ass 😧
2:26 shes sitting up there all pretty like a movie scene then gets pounded 😂
The freeman 42LR just mows through those waves no problem. Badass
Man those Freemans just eat it up and keep on trucking
SeaVee made it look easy!!!
That freeman phewwwe 💨
Looks like a contest for how many outboards you can fit on the back of a boat.
I love it ! Thank you ! 👍😎
I've heard there's two types of charter captains. Those who own a Freeman, and those who want one.
World cat
@@swgosa9034 Well, that was a Freeman that ripped out like it was nothing, not a World Cat. And World Cat has issues. Lots of reports of cracking with World Cats. Not even in the same league as a Freeman.
Those Freeman boats look kind of stupid but they really seem to get through everything very smoothly.
Lekker man lekker
Looks a little bumpy!! Lol thank you for the awesome videos!!
I 💖 your boat videos!
That lady on the Sunseeker is very talented! Bet she never falls off the mechanical bull
That Would Have Been ABSOLUTELY Fun In a Kayak!
It would be awesome to see a 13 whaler full send it through here
I like those big cruisers with the female "hood" ornaments out front..
Looks like fun!
Thanks for including some big boats; it's much appreciated!
You're welcome, Phil! Thanks for being here. 🙌
I'm in the market for a fishing boat, and these videos have been helpful by seeing the boats in rough water.
The intrepid with triple 350hp motors look very promising, and your videos are helping me a great deal. Thank You.
Great video wavey keep it up pretty rough there isn’t it
Love the content . Thank you
the sunseeker 😍😍😍
Awsome day on the water thanks for sharing.
Awesome day indeed! Lots of traffic + wave action is a recipe for entertainment. 👍
If I owned a Freeman I would name it... Morgan. 😂
Love these videos.
Great way to test hull designs
Watching these guys going out slow it's like fingernails on a chalkboard 😲
lol!
Goodbye Mr. Anderson Says the guy who has a hard time spelling. The boat I believe he’s referring to is more than capable enough for that inlet and yes; it would have ran smoother with more speed.
@Goodbye Mr. Anderson you have to give it some gas especially if your smaller to lift the bow a little cause at idel your bow will smash down into wave/current and you can take on water going to slow, plus the bouncing and whipping can be very rough. At least that is what I think Tim meant. But most people don't know Haulover smaller boats should stay on the edges where it's rough and turn out after the rocks. Even in my 30 Gamefish I wouldn't haul ass though their no matter how big my boat is especially looking like this.
Goodbye Mr. Anderson yea you’re partially right. Driving 2 knots isn’t effective cause then you go up and down in the waves but if you give it a little gas you kind of get on top of the waves which is more comfy, safer and you get out quicker
Goodbye Mr. Andersen yea of course, diving fast in “big” waves is scary, you just need to trust your boat and have guts. There’s also a difference in boats, a day cruiser can’t take waves as well as an open boat can. But my point is that it’s better to have a little speed (doesn’t need to be full throddle) but a little speed is necessary. Also, when u have passengers for example in the bow, your boat is a lot more unstable and jumps a lot more up and down (with small boats), but if you’re alone, use the powertrim and get the bow down, then with some speed you’ll basically be on top of the waves
The mystery boat looks to be a formula
By the looks of boating. I’d say flat out is the way to go 💨
3 kids on the bow and no jackets!!
mrabrasive51 rich people 🤑 don’t care 🤷♂️
That Intrepid with the kids on the bow ......I was like Good idea". Bad enough the captain hasn't a clue how to handle the throttle in this current with these waves, but kids without PFDs loose on the bow? At least he was smart enough to recognize he was unqualified to have the boat out today. Best he stays in the intracoastal until he gains some skills.
Great vid. Boats w huge horse power. What's not to like..bam
daaamn, my dude @3:31 was plowing those waves!
Yea that’s how it’s supposed to be done but 99% of people have no clue what their doing
The mystery boat at 6:06 is a formula
yes, that's a Formula 45 Yacht with twin Volvo Penta IPS pods, fantastic yacht!
Formula better watch out or he gonna lose his two hos
great video.. that is my Formula..
Cool Ass Video, Great Job, its nice to have a description of the Boats. It must be allot of work, thanks. Its relaxing to watch.
The Freeman😍
Loved it to sphincter or not to sphincter 😂
Freeman was sick
First boat is my DREAM boat
OMG this is the video with the BIMBO on the BOW POSING.....priceless.
The freeman at 1:30 and the seavee at 3:16 made this look way to easy 😂
Love the vdeos from vegas! great footage...helps me learn techniques in rough water, HP is king. Need a35' boston whaler or grady white with min twin engine
That last one man i would live on it
Visual Proof Cats Rule
Badass
Love watching yaots destroy the wave
The fishing’s great, it’s the throwing up on the way out.
Impressive...our daily in Hawaii!
Haulover on a rough day on a monohull just got added to my bucket list.
U on nnbbnnnnnn
Damn .... those midnight express look sharp
Mystery Boat is a Sea Ray Sundancer with a refit 2008 Full name is WATERTIGHT ALIBI. I said its a refit cause the izen glass panels and full windscreens dont line up perfect with the bridge section 2 boxy compared to the lines.
Mystery boat formula 45 😬 beautiful boat!
Good eye, Connor! I agree.
I remember in the late 80s, we were driving back after two weeks in Florida. To shut us up, my parents pulled over to a boat yard to let us blow off some steam and look at boats. My father said he wasn't going to buy anything, but I'm more certain than not that if our vehicle had a tow hitch, he would have gotten a boat that day, similar in size as one of these. The galley, the bedrooms, the living room. BUT we would have never used it and about two years later they bought a different house ... and houses hold their value better. They could not have afforded their house if they bought this boat. ;-)
Thank you.. hat is mine.. a friend sent me this link..
Anthony Giambri thats awesome man beautiful boat!
@@anthonygiambri8867 That sounds like a good Alibi to me , Mr. Giambri. ;)
"Just gonna send it!"
That SeeVee 35,,,,, 🤤🤤🤤🤤
“Nope not today”
Lmfao
Sea vee handles the waves the best
Freeman was sweet
I bet them first 2 boats had gritted teeth going over them waves 🤣🤣🤣👍and the girl at 2.55 I thought she was gunna slide right off that boat..
But I do love the midnight Express boats..there a bit in yer face but I like that...go big or go home..💪👍🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊excellent work pal🙋♂️
Thanks Bryan, they do have an imposing look to them. I feel they represent Miami culture well.
That's what I'm talking about ballzz to the wall FULL SPEED AHEAD!
3:23 now THAT is how you do it!
@BERSERKER Apples and bricks. Can't compare how the captain of a 35-40 footer pushes through that and the captain of a 60-70 footer does. Like comparing two vehicles going off road, one a Jeep and the other an Abrams tank. The Jeep driver has to be careful and precise. The tank driver just smashes the gas pedal. LOL
ScarabChris no
Great video make more like this
Thanks! More to come!
In this episode, smart people turning around because they're about to sink their boats!!!😂👍🙏🙏🙏
Hey man we saw you filming on this day! (I know cause joint custody is our neighbors and they went out at the same time as us) Is there any chance you have film of a blue 29 donzi zf? Thanks! Love your channel
Yup this is one of those truly "rough" days at the inlet us locals know about. It's the days that separates the mariners from the googans. The guy in a brand new Intrepid at 6:50 is either a googan or his wife was screaming at him to turn around. LOL. That boat would have been totally fine going through if the captain knew what he was doing.....Watching the clip of this boat again...I don't think he was very experienced. He was letting every wave crash over the bow. There was probably a foot of water rushing by their feet. If you know how to run the boat you can avoid stabbing the bow into every wave.
There was another haulover channel that said watching boats come out is like watching paint dry so he adds different clips of people fishing along with the boat coming out. I say this is more entertaining then watching paint dry
@1:31 So nice. 👌
Freeman OP
Major Facts!
It's about time some real clever person invents some kind of personal safety device. Let's call it for now a lifejacket
"If the ride is hard on you it is hard on the hull." Good luck paying for the repairs
How true is that
@:50 how did those motors not stall out? Looked like the water came directly into the rear of the cover. Sheesh!
YO HO YO HO A PIRATES LIFE FOR ME!!! 🧜🏻♂️
Holy sh!t that catamaran didn't face plant at all!🐱
I thought cats don't jump the SeaVee took it as good as the cat did
I think not. That Freeman took everything
Agree, Freeman overpriced and overrated
@@jimminyxmas I hear ya
All the boats struggling to go through. Meanwhile life gaurds on jet skis-just another day at the office.
I always expect to see more Boston whalers Are they not so poplar around haulover?
Have you considered filming at 60 frames per second? It would look more fluid and realistic like we were there. Whenever I'm watching CZcams I can instantly tell when a video is at 60fps
Freeman is undoubtably the best center console on the planet and it’s not close!
The blue boat at 6:00 rides the waves like a hot knife into butter.
Not sure if it's the lens compression making things looker closer than they were or not. But that Sunseeker looked like he just about ran over that little bowrider at 2:25
He bossed him out of the way. Not cool.
Scrolled down to see if anyone else noticed that. Immature driver doesn’t belong behind the wheel of any boat
Ahh yeah. Love cats.
Blows my mind how some will take those small boats out in such waves. I live in michigan where lake Michigan is 5 mins from my boat launch and if I seen anything like that I would swiftly turn around
Lol im guessing slips inside haulover are priced accordingly to dealing with such a fked inlet. That or theres a major boat launch close by as well. Shit ton of people trailer boats in FL. Actually a major problem down there is truck and trailer theft after you safely launched your boat. People are coming back to the launches to find their truck and trailer missing.
@@RW-jg9zv that's no good
Nothing on the water like a freeman
That little boat just about got ran over
all the fly ass hunnies on these boats!
What causes haulover to be so rough like that? Is it wind, tide, or a combination of both?
I'd like to think I'd do well driving out of that inlet, but I'm sure i'd learn a few painful lessons.
2:40, I bet that bikini lady has a comfy ride sitting on the bow, weeeee! 6:10, I bet the captain has a great view.
G
FedEx dfrddddfddddd
When the captain turns out to be a lady
2:56.......Do these wave make my butt look big!!🤣🤣🤣🤣
waiting for her to slip and find the railing LOL.
Cat says "what waves?"
Here rod holder, hold this fishin pole. I must now brace for IM PACT! PACT!PACT!
The most careless captain is the Sunseeker with the bow riders. Very dangerous!
On another of your videos you commented that the experienced skippers tended to get out and head to port , and generally find less disturbed water very quickly , hope some of the others that head straight to starboard and cross the waves port on watch your videos .
0:45 damn those yamahas took a shower..
