@@finiteautomata3888 you're right. Pogacar said after the TT that he didn't feel well on the last half of the TT. Pogacar didn't have a bad day. But a slightly below his normal stardards day. So Pogacar would normally have been at least 50-60 seconds faster than he was.
But again....Pogacar took the day off yesterday. Jonas drove and studied the course more than twice. Add that Jumbo have spent countless hours with Jonas in wind tunnel to optimize his position on the bike. People screaming doping don't understand just how much more high tech science is important to riders today. Back in tour de epo days. You could have riders sitting like an arse on their bikes and still preforming like supermen. This you don't see today. Jonas simply didn't make a single mistake on a TT that was very technical and had climbing meters and % more for mountain stages.

      1. VG was more aggressive in cornering and descents. To the point of gaining 2 seconds on Pog by the first corner.
      2. VG did better cornering and descents.
      3. VG had the better form and thus better aerodynamics.
      4. VG did not change bikes. Pog did change bikes and while it was a decent bike change, it still cost time 15 seconds plus.
      5. It was a hot day and allegedly VG does better in the heat than Pog does.
      6. VG said it was the best bike ride he ever did.

@@franci4434 Lance couldnt do this cause everyone was doped. There was already enough evidence to kill lance in 1999 positive EPO tests 2 witnesses speaking about his doping first hand experience etc. Im sorry to destroy your Idol but lance was nothing without dope his physique didnt make any sense he was 75 kg and the strongest climber. He was in his 30's Nothing about lance made sense. He placed low in GC for the first 3 tours comes back after cancer and destroys everyone, Without dope he would not be anything GC related. He might have been a Classics rider but thats it, maximum a rider like Van aert. Lances Vo2max was around 80 - that means you dont win GC, impossible but it was boosted by EPO and kept secret later on.
The fact is this descrepancy we see here with Pogacar and Vingegaard is exactly why we can know there is not doping or very little doping today. Its a bellcurve thing There are the rare outliers that will blow everyone away. You have einstein in physics today the 2 highest IQs have 10% higher IQ than anybody else in the world.
Jonas and pogacar are complete outliers They have the right age, they have the complete build for climbing - especially Jonas who is built like pantani. They have insane Vo2maxes - fx. Jonas was as a teen measured as the second highest Vo2max ever measured - as 16 years old. You have to expect this discrepancy in this case.
His heart is reportedly 15% bigger/more effective than other sports athletes compared to size.
In many sports we see someone blow the field away, in sports where doping doesnt decide. In chess, in tennis, in football. It is purely a 90 and 00s maybe early 10s thing. You cant blood your blood today like they did back then period impossible. And boosting your blood is the only way you can get any significant advantage in cycling. You can dope theoreticly in tiny tiny amounts, with extreme risk, but theoreticly possible. But that sure does not produce descrepancies that would even the field more. Doping evens the field no doping have complete outliers its a bellcurve.
Noone has come out about pogacar or Vingegaard about doping, back then in 00s and 90's everybody on teams knew. And the info was out people just didnt listen, before evidence was so abundant that it was bound to happen.

You know, I've noticed something. A lot of people get on here talking about 'doping'. They don't discuss the race/tactics, they just slag on how 'they are all doping' and none of it is legit. I'll bet 99% are not ACTUAL cyclists. They sound like trolls to me. These people couldn't produce 50W to save their pathetic [non-cardio/couch riding] lives. I bet they all have carbon fiber remote controls and aero slippers, for those quick trips to the fridge!

And they probably only watch the TdF and nothing else 😂 they probably dont even know Jumbo Visma does 3 altitude training camps each year and spent a LOT of time in the windtunnel. On top of that, everything is data based in Jumbo Visma. Also, check the rooftop of Jumbos car which was full of bikes for aero purposes and check UAEs car which only had 3 bikes (a spare tt bike and 2 roadbikes) with a HUGE gap in the middle. Sometimes Im thinking does UAE even apply any kind of strategy?? I havent been able to spot one other than intimidation tactics and bullying tactics... Im wondering how Pogacar is even able to hang on for so long after his injury and fairly limited preparations for the tour.

Hi everyone Some stats for u. Since 2021 JV and TP has rode 8 ITT
against each other here are the facts and numbers
    TP 4 wins
    JV 4 wins
    4 short under 15 km
    TP 3 wins
    JV 1 win
    4 long plus 15 km
    JV 3 wins
    TP 1 win
    1st week ITT
    TP 4 wins
    JV 1 win
    3rd week stage race ITT
    JV 3 wins
    TP 0
They are both very strong ITT raiders, some of the best in the world(only specialists better). The stats so far show a clear picture. When they go head to head in ITT, TP will win when they have fresh legs.(JV has only won 1 time against TP and that was in basque 2021 ITT but only with 9 seconds . JV wins in 3rd week ITT. TP has never won a ITT against JV in a 3rd week ITT. JV is the best ITT in the world after 3 weeks racing in my opinion. Which means that to make the tour GC interesting(close) in the future, the ITT in the tour needs to be a 25-30 km ITT in the start of the tour. Then TP might gain 30 sec or maybe a minute on JV/and then bad/cold weather in week 3, then we will get a close Tour de France. Im from Denmark and of course want JV to win but I love TP very much too, but without the above mentioned, I really think that TP will have big troubles winning against JV. And we all really want a close Tour de France no matter who ones favorite is. In 2022 JV would have won with 5 minutes if he had not sat up before the climb in the ITT to give his friend WWA the win and this year a win over 7 minutes. Next year If both are at their best I think Jonas will win clearly. Since we have a long ITT on the last day and TP will probably loose 1-3 minutes on that ITT, and TP has never taken minutes on JV in the mountains. Sidewind or coubble stages are his only chance to take minutes and with JV strong Jumbo team it's unlikely to happen. I really don't think TP will win the tour over Jonas if he does not skip the classic season and this might not be enough anyway. We will see I think he will eventually try this strategy once at least. But damn we live in exiting times. I have followed Tour de France since the mid 1980s and we are so blessed to have such gifted talents right now(JV, TP, Remco, WWA, MVTP and PR) All 6 writes history in their own way that will be remembered in years to come. The discussion the worlds best is in my opinion not that important. but if I have to give u my take on it right now(the last years results.) 1. TP, 2. JV, 3. WWA, 4. Remco, 5. MVTP, 6 PR, 7. Mads P. TP will probably go over in history as the best overall raider after merxc. IF JV keeps evolving and can keep this level for the next 5-6 years Especially if he wins Vuelta this year, then he has a chance to win plus 10 grand tours and become one of histories best GC raiders of all time. With Remco we will see. I don't see him beating JV or TP in the mountain in any near future. Damn im looking forward to the Vuelta. Remember to enjoy this speciel times and keep your self respect by following the example of JV and TP. Have respect for each other and have a bit of class. Let the best legs and tactic intelligence win.

Strategy. Others riders did too. He change to a bike more suitable to the final climb, jonas keep the chrono bike that is more heavy. Even without the change Jonas time was superior, Pogaca lost like 15 sec on the change.

    • @thomasthomsen2678
      @thomasthomsen2678 Před 10 měsíci +3

The road bike gives you a different position to sit in on the climb, it's easier to handle and stand up on when you ride up the mountains, and as others mentioned aswell it is lighter, so he would get a bike that was as light as possible to climb faster.
