Alright. Here's some insight. You start a CZcams channel. It gains popularity. Companies start to reach out to you. At first, you're excited. You accept things you don't really think about before saying yes. And then you're stuck with some product to review that you really don't believe in. I've done it. Most channels probably have.
I learned from that. I delete 99% of the requests for review that I get. But when I got the e mail from Get Out Gear for their Down Puffy Blanket, I thought "I actually might buy that." So I said yes. And they sent me a down blanket. It was June. I live in Phoenix, Arizona. I think it was probably 114 degrees the day it showed up. So I kept it around for a while, but couldn't really use it.
But we started hiking up north and eventually winter came around and my wife and I got to use it more and more. It went on all our trips. Invariably, Tina ended up wearing it at camp at night. It became a mainstay.
Then we went on a backpacking trip to Salt Creek in Canyonlands. At camp, the night before we started our trip, we realized Tina had forgotten her down jacket.
It was going to be 27 degrees at night.
So we could cancel the trip, or we could use the Get Out Gear Down Puffy Blanket instead of a down jacket. And that's what we did. It worked incredibly well. It actually saved the trip.

I have the olive one and love it. It looks so flimsy, but this thing has held up extremely well. And it’s legit warm.
I really love the thing. Take it on about every trip when it starts getting cold.
Very cool blanket. Looks like it would be good also to just keep in the car for emergencies. Cheaper than most 650 down jackets at that price

Wish I had seen this review before Christmas. Would make a great gift. I think I will order for my son who lives in Phoenix and deer hunts in colder areas in winter.

That's actually a really good idea. I have an "oh s*%t kit" for the truck, I just always seem to forget the important step of leaving it in the truck....
