i remember going in one of these babys as a treat to see how it flys and see skydiver in action like this dude in the vid and my oh my its breath taking and we landed with similar twists and turns like this one one the video from above the clouds and the experience was just .i cant decribe how amazing the feeling of adrenaline was.if anyone gets the chance or opportunity to fly in one of these take it beleive me you will not regret it.

Yup, yup, yup. Some folks will not, will not, will not be told. We have a police helo pilot here in auckland, beats the shit out of it, blade slap like you never heard before. Stupid steep turns, hover hard in the red, all kinds of bad juju. Not so sad if he is alone and breaks it over water, tragic loss of a good aircraft, but the injustice inherent in the cosmos, some nice guy will be doing a sweet, quiet flight, and the thing will fatigue-fail, over a kindergarten or nursing home.
Yip,seen a military pilot on the mat cause he over torque a Heli engine.The flight values are stored in the engine control module.Bad flying skill cause he wasn't operating during an emergency,it was normal routine training flight.He was ratted on by chief crew.Musnt have been too popular.
it can fly like a stunt plane and I love it. I would love to fix up and AN-2 and then start customizing it. You should only fly one like this at airshows. But at airshows you should fly one only like this.
That reminds me of my 30 year old lawn mower. A person must have special preconceptions when starting the engine, otherwise he does not go idle. When the plane descends to the ground, everything falls in the cabin, it squeals and scuffles the wings a little and I get stuck in the ground.
Little known facts... The engine in the AN2 is an unauthorized and unlicensed identical Russian copy of a Wright R1820. And Art Scholl, world aerobatic champion and professor of aeronautical engineering at USC flew his entire aerobatic routine in his De Havilland Chipmunk and Pitts Special S2 using only the flight control trims, saving the stick and rudders for backup.
@@orangesoda3095 Sounds like you've never flown anything... just like the original poster. Nothing wrong with taking your hands off the controls when in non-critical phases of flight. If the weather was that bad, you wouldn't be flying a light aircraft.
@@orangesoda3095 Please. LOL. First of all, if you're getting any disturbance from buildings and/or terrain, it will be 100% weather related... by wind. I suppose we can throw in some thermals as culprits to disturb a plane's flight path. That being said, there is NO requirement to always have your hands on the yoke, such as the above poster mentions. Maybe I need more experience flying Flight Sim... which is where this mentality must originate. But flying REAL planes does not necessitate it. As for my qualifications... believe what you believe, I really could care less... but I would bet my life that I can outfly you! LOL

Hard on the prop for sure. I have 1000+ hrs in An-2's and never that hard on prop and never pulled full pitch like that..
