Disappointed by Lockett. He's got more than that. Sealey dominated that match despite the fact it was just a 1 point match(and Lockett nearly got the reversal at the end there to tie it up).
But Lockett looked a little hesitant. Not in great shape. So many things can factor in there like injury or just...early in the season.
But Sealey looked like a College Wrestler. Just no space, constantly taking ground, attacking. I would LOVE to have the problem PSU is going to have in the future when trying to figure out how to fill out their lineup. Which former World Medalist wins the spot. Sealey has taken a jump, Barr looked like he had a ton of upside he still hadn't reached yet. The Mirasola's...
Curious to see if they can "break the curse," at '25(which really isn't a curse, it just doesn't have a 3/4X Champ in recent years).
Lillendahl? Gibson looks too big. I'm sure Bassett will end up at PSU, though I'm hoping for Cornell because at some point, it's just silly.
Where were all those heavy snaps Lockett was doing at worlds?
Ref should have hit Lockett with stalling when he didn't come to the center twice, especially the pretend leg stretch.
I thought takedown was 3 points starting this year
only ncaa
Just what Penn State needs, Sealey. Poor folks just don't have any talent 😉.
LOL...WHAT! You don't think Penn State has talent coming in! That's...well, it's true. Poor PSU, can't catch a break. Really, they'll barely have a world medalist per weight coming in over the next 2 years. It's just not fair!
Seriously though, what the hell are they gonna do? They've got a RS Freshmen who was an elite recruit who is getting beaten out by a RS Freshmen who may be the best 165 in the Country(don't think MM is, but he'll be in the mix) and their '57 who took 2nd as a True Frosh has already said he's not staying there long.
They have about 9 guys who are top ~10-15 overall recruits in this Freshmen class, the '24 class or the '25 class already. If they don't lose guys to transfers, the only team that'll be able to challenge them will be...their JV team!
