So many changes! First off, best wishes to Pinto Bean and his Momma -- thank you for allowing us to watch as his hoof ailment was treated, and best wishes for the future! Second, congratulations, Doc Sheldon! I'm so happy for you and your family! As one chapter of your lives completes, the next chapter starts! Finally, as far as having some "veterinary content" mixed into this channel -- I'm all for it! Though, if others strongly prefer that you keep this channel strictly for horse shoeing, perhaps you could start a second channel for your veterinary work??? (I'd be the first to subscribe!) ❤❤❤
Its so bittersweet to see Pinto Bean's last shoe done by you, you did a lot of good for that horse. But congrats on graduation, I'm in support of seeing more than just horseshoing. You should take all the opportunities you can.

I love how in most videos he says he’s an amateur, but he seems pretty darn experienced and knowledgeable to me. 😂 Every horse deserves the care and quality that he provides like this.
Oh it's great to see how well Pinto Bean is doing now! As a cat owner I'd be interested in you sharing videos on all 4, cats, dogs, horses and cattle. Just don't try to shoe a cat. 🤣

As for future content, I'll admit that I really love your shoeing videos and I hope that horses will still account for the bulk of your content, but I rather suspect that your videos will be interesting no matter what they're about, so by all means bring on the dogs and cats and cows. 😄

I love this channel for its educational tone and clear passion and love for the animals. I'd be totally open to other content besides horseshoeing although I'm happy to hear that the horseshoeing content likely wont go away entirely!

We lived in Deer Park for several years. Congrats to you and your family. I hope Pinto Bean has a long healthy life . He had a rough time there for a while with that hoof , good thing he had you there to help through that rough patch!

Sheldon, congrats on graduating vet school. Major accomplishment for you. I would not mind at all seeing videos from your vet work. Deal with farriers and horse people every day where I work, but grew up on a dairy farm so would be nice to see some dairy and beef cattle. As well as dogs, cats and whatever other animals might come your way.

Yay, it’s Pinto Bean! First off, congratulations on your graduation and your move! And congrats as well to Pinto Bean’s owner as well. Followup cases are my favorite, especially when one can clearly see the changes over time (which are HUGE changes, to be noticed by those of us who aren’t lucky enough to share our lives with horses). I’ve appreciated seeing the whole series on this horse.

Absolutely mix ‘em up. I love everything animal. That includes shoeing and vet practice. I follow several cow/calf ranches and dairy farms. While you are the only farrier/vet, I also follow Enoch the Cow Vet (an American in Australia). Thanks for the follow up on Pinto Bean. I am happy to know you were able to “doctor” him through his hoof problem with your skills as a farrier.

Congratulations on officially becoming a vet! And congratulations to Pinto Bean for a successful recovery! 😁 To answer your question at the end, I would like this channel to remain focused primarily on horseshoeing (including the therapeutic work - that's actually the most interesting to me). For me the appeal is the methodic, deliberate nature of the shoeing process. It's like a manicure - it's relaxing! I'm worried that lots of videos of sick or injured pets would just be distressing.
That being said, if you think there's a particular aspect of veterinary work that's super interesting, I wouldn't mind the occasional video (like a couple a year or something).
Congratulations to you Dr. Sheldon! We need more good vets. I am a city girl but love learning about therapeutic horseshoeing.
I think you should take all critters as they come. You did a lot of learning and you should use it. Good bye Pinto Bean!

Personally I love cattle care videos just because I’m not around farm life, so it’s interesting to see. Over the last 2 years I’ve become addicted to hoof trimming videos of all kind, starting off with your early work, all the way to elephant trimming now lol 😂 give me all of the content sir. I’ll gladly watch and like 👍🏾

I would love to see other neato cases from the clinic. I used to be a vet tech assistant and I really miss seeing all the neat cases that would come in. Went on a mission and when I returned the clinic I worked for changed hands and just about everyone I knew moved on so I wasn't able to come back. It took me a real long time to find a clinic to work for and I honestly wasn't that thrilled to go looking once again with how competitive things are. On top of that I was getting ready to get married so that career ship sailed. I knew that could happen when I left for my 18 month mission, but I also knew one day I wanted to be a mom more than a vet tech so I'm doing alright. I do however badly miss being in the clinic from time to time. It would make my day to see the animals you share.
I'd love to see some vet content as well as some horseshoeing! Also, Congratulations to both you and Pinto Bean (and his Mama)!! It's so fitting to see you get your vet license just about as Pinto Bean finally heals up! I've been following your channel since just about the time Pinto Bean's foot had to be cut into the second time.

It's been very interesting/educational watching Pinto Bean's progression and more importantly for him and his owner, a successful outcome. Personally, I'd love to see some of your vet cases, they're all interesting to me. I think you're being smart starting off with a multi-animal clinic until you find what you really want your niche to be. You might surprise yourself and like the small animals as well as large. Congratulations once again on getting your DVM, you deserve it with all the sacrifices you and your family have made.
