another tip is that if you need to grind the catching quests (ex. catch 300 pets), just go to the pet park and afk. Click the any button so you can get both commons and rares.
Dino ngl it’s better to use the level scrolls on secret pets and not berries and instead use berries on lower level pets bc it’s easy to get berries more so than the scrolls, like the golden cherries yk

if you have better pets to use them on then no, make sure to save up your gold cherries when you get a high tier legendary or secret (probably nearing the end areas) if you want to expand your index either for the trio (which has similar stats to the sea champion) and the better owolord, then i'd recommend turning it shiny later when you don't have anything else to spend your cherries on

But if you are using a prismatic scroll you should also make sure the other runes are the ones you want on the pet and that they are level 4 as it levels up all the runes on the level 4 runes to 5 on your pet.

it only goes up to 4 unless you use a prismatic scroll, or re-roll and there is a chance it starts at level 5
