I bought one and loved it. so much so that I have now purchased 5 of them so that I have sound in every part of my house. I love that it can play music in all rooms or just specific rooms, it is so great when you are at home cleaning and want music or a podcast on everywhere or if you have a party and want music everywhere. for the price it is totally worth it, bascially $500 and I have a whole home interactive speaker system that has really pretty decent sound . I have paid more than that just for one pair of bose speakers before that had non of the features these have (other than superior sound)

Don’t forget the HomePod mini can have multiple timers, and you can separate them by saying “Hey Siri, set a four minute timer for coffee”. Other products and time periods are available 🤣
Yes I like that feature. The homepods are really useful for setting timers and alarms. Also they’re great for adding things to your shopping list in Reminders.

Can I control home pod from different iPhone?
Torn between this smart speaker and one that works with more devices. Apple devices work really well but the the limited HomeKit enabled devices worries me
You have to keep in mind why there are so few. The manufacturers have to agree to play within the Apple Privacy Agreements. Too many manufacturers are getting kickbacks from advertisers who buy your usage info. Yes, your ring doorbell knows how many packages you buy, your camera recordings aren’t yours anymore once they hit the cloud, and what products you have in your home are able to tell what other products you have. All this data is free to be sold to the highest bidder by agreeing to it just by plugging them in.
Apple says that’s your business and any smart home device manufacturer who doesn’t agree is free to pound sand.
I love that you can make this portable with a power bank.
you’d need one with the right amount of power otherwise it flashes red and doesn’t let you use it.

I have a stereo pair set up and when I ask Siri to play a song she only plays out of one speaker. Have you encountered this and or have a fix? Other than that she plays stereo audio just fine, perhaps it’s an Apple Music bug.

It doesn’t work with Spotify. Only a few certain apps allow that feature, but you can airplay for any audio, including Spotify.

Hey, Can you please Confirm and check yourself whether the HomePod mini's in Stereo Pair can be a connected to a Mac? Because in Reddit, a User said it can't. I wanted both HomePod Mini's to output the entire Mac's Audio Output in stereo pair and not just for Apple TV and Apple Music . For Example:- CZcams Safari, CZcams Netflix etc.
you can connect your mac to both homepods, not sure about stereo pairing. but i believe when a stereo pair they appear as one
There is some irony in watching a video covering wireless speakers and the volume being very low
I can’t transfer the music from my iPhone to play to the HomePod when I put it on top. Not matter what I do it doesn’t work.
Make sure all your software is up to date
I have an iPhone 10 sometimes, it helps to tap by facing the screen of the phone to the homepod. Otherwise I'd check if your phone is compatible or if you got a faulty unit
Try removing both from your wifi network and reconnecting…
Make sure your WiFi and Bluetooth are on iPhone
If you haven’t fixed it already;
Settings > general > AirPlay & Handoff > enable Transfer to HomePod

Why am I not seeing more people complaining about Homepod taking priority over iPHONES - for me, even when saying hey siri directly into the iphone microphone, my homepod will reply from a different room. HUGELY annoying, especially when setting alarms that i need on my phone. Or asking requests that i need to hear the answer for

Obviously i want he homepod to reply when i talk to the homepod.... but id want the phone to reply when talking to the phone too. Thats the way it should work based on how they developed it.
I researched and found the following...to have your iphone respond instead of the homepod...."raise to wake" the phone and then say hey siri...that should invoke siri on the phone and not the homepod...or...hold the power button to activate siri on the iphone and then speak. Not perfect of course, but it should work...the phone and homepods actually communicate when you say "hey siri" to determine which responds...complex algorithms at play....not always what you want. :)

Yes they do. You need to do it through airplay.
