Great idea,,,been my plan to adapt this to fit my wheelchair. I'm 65 and recently have walking issues, due to a spinal disorder. I can walk very slowly and must sit down often. I want to continue to go to outdoor Summer festivals, and go to my local park. Adapting this to power my wheelchair, will help greatly. Wheelchairs with electric motors are very expensive almost as much a street legal scooter. In the thousands of dollars.
For real, the cost of this is the hover board (cheapest 150 Canadian) and some parts you can find at yard sales or the dump. Compared to those outdated electric wheelchairs which used to cost around 8k. Even the more modern ones are thousands, like you said. It’s innovation for the win.
@@Saif-zf9vb In 2019 I found a gently used Hover Board, at a yard sale, half the cost of a new one. Was hoping to adapt to work with my light weight wheel chair,....Then the Covid pandemic hit,....and I had to hide in my house for 2 years. I have hopes of still using using it,...Except I am older and less mobile than before. Who knows maybe I will still get the project underway.

How do you get that to work while sitting because ours needs a certain amount of weight to work properly. It only vibrates and jumps when pressing on sensor pads with hands.
Well, my hoverboards vibrates too, when pressing on pads with hands. Have to use legs for that, and keep both feet flat, so that they always touch pressure sensitive pads. Do not lift feet from pads when riding. Just weight of feet on pads should be enough for board not to vibrate.
