Most weekends specimen 1 is fully booked every swim meaning you cant move onto the fish as they move around. Great video with good information but very rarely can you hop about so freely on that lake

How long is your hook from your float mate
Hi mate, hope you're well?
It all depends on the situation. I try and use the shortest possible hook link I can get away with. At some venues, the carp spook from the float set up so I'll increase the length to around 8-10ft so the hook bait is as far away from the float as possible. In other situations where they're not too spooky, I'll use a short hook link around 3-4ft long as I believe this improves hokking them on the strike and against the float! Hope this helps! :)

@@OfficialNashTackle every video i see on a12 lakes is in the same swim. No coisidence. Same at willows farm. Just saying it would be nice to see these anglers fish non prolific swims. Us average anglers do notice these things.

As soon as I see that there are NO OTHER anglers on the lake I turn off. You lot think we came down in the last shower. Make it realistic. Ruins the content

As you can see from some of the other comments on the video of anglers who were there during our filming, we certainly do not book out the lakes. Finley's series is all about tackling UK day tickets and we will never book a lake out for these shoots, in fact the only time we ever book an entire lake is if we go to an exclusive booking venue. We want Finley to turn up and face the same scenario as everyone else.

I see the video on Albans lakes and I know for a fact that lake is rammed every week. But fin turned up and the best swim I the lake is free 😅 next to the out of bounds. We aint silly.
