As a wife of a mailman, the USPS overworks their few employees. And refuse to modernize their business. Yes when my packages are late I'm pissed too. But I'm more pissed that my husband works 6am-9pm sometimes for 3 months straight with no day off 🤷♀️ I agree they really really do suck.
Delivery people the World over are tragically overworked and underappreciated. Covid only made that situation worse as everyone made orders of all they needed.
Kudos to your husband for keeping the economy running.
I started working for the post office 6 months ago and I can confirm I work non-stop. It's only going to get worse starting October/November for the holidays with us working 5am til everything is delivered 😭

Ohhhh yes! My husband's holiday schedule (which as you know lasts for months) was usually 5 AM-10 PM. The straw that broke the camel's back was when he got injured at work (he's diabetic, so a laceration can get serious fast) and they threatened his job when he said he needed to go to the doctor. When he quit, they wouldn't stop calling, begging him to come back. Such an unhealthy work environment--he's got thousands of stories, as I'm sure your husband does. All that to say, MAD RESPECT FOR USPS WORKERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I like that they do mystery boxes for people that might not be as familiar with the brand. Honestly, indie mystery boxes are always better than big brand ones. That's just my experience, though
I love how your dress and nails totally match the smaller set and yet you couldn't resist the orange lip and rainbow palette of the larger set 😂 I completely relate to needing a cocktail any time I'm doing work past 7pm 🥂

I’m a huge fan of unearthly’s eyeshadows. That orange lip is everything. I’m not inspired enough to spend the money on either of these full collections but I definitely hope that orange lip becomes a permanent item. I’m very tempted to pick up the Halloween pre order.

Ugh.. both boxes are SOOO pretty!! Buuut... I'm gonna have to pass :( I don't do pink OR orange lips 😫 It's ok, not everything has to be for me. Watching your reveal videos is plenty fun Angie, and my purse can now momentarily breathe a sigh of relief, so it's still a win-win for me (at least that's what I'm gonna tell myself! 😅)

Hi Angie, I just wanted to pop in and say I love your videos and I watch everyday! I can see you are frustrated with the postal service. I understand your frustration I feel it too sometimes! Maybe when the package comes late that is an opportunity to give yourself a little break too. Like this is a sign from the universe that it’s time to play a game of League. Also with global warming their jobs are getting harder and harder being out on the cement all day and in and out of the heat and with so many of us shopping online it is probably a lot!

Honestly I think it is an awesome way to learn, from the things we forget, when we are tired or our mind just wanders off, because even though I can see and understand exactly what you mean, I still think it looked messy/muddy in a cool grungy way, like I could absolutely still see you in a darker lip, a not quite so beaming highlighter, smudgier and darker lower lash line, bolder winged eyeliner and mascara, with a little edgy rocker chick outfit❤️🔥. On the note of USPS failures - I totally agree. We live in a different state in a big city, and we've had multiple issues with them. I will say, due to the recent restructuring of USPS and the massive cuts to salaries and upcoming elimination of positions/locations, I feel bad for mail carriers because they've been put in a really crappy situation. From what I understand, it's affecting rural areas more so than cities, but yeah, I wouldn't expect USPS to get much better in the future 😅They're essentially trying to privatize the system to make it profitable like Amazon, UPS, etc. (even though USPS is also tasked with delivering a lot of Amazon packages these days, which doesn't help their work load). It's a hot mess over there lol.

These boxes are great! I think I'm going to wait for the Halloween ones. I'm so sorry about your USPS troubles. Our postal system is severely understaffed and underfunded, so delivery times are not super reliable. Sometimes their system doesn't update for 24 hours, so it shows things are out for or have been delivered when it won't be until the next day. Thank you for working late to share, I hope you get a chance to have a little more fun with these items!

PS I’ve worked for the USPS for 30 years (I’m only 51, I was a kid when I started) and it makes me so sad that your local p.o. is failing you! In our office we strive for nothing less than perfection and I wish that all officers were like that. I would invite you to the website and go to the help section and then the contact us section there and share your concerns. The postmaster or supervisor must contact you within 24 hours upon receipt of your email. Then they must figure out a way to help with your issues. I definitely recommend that route. And, if you’ve done that already and the problem hasn’t been fixed I would then become a pain in the ass and do the above every time they disappoint. Hopefully that helps and I’m so sorry you’ve been treated badly. I actually still take pride in my work and disappoints me that not every one does.

Damn, F..k. The Halloween mystery box image looks amazing but it's so expensive in Australian dollars, BUT it is 8 items and I reallt want to try more from their brand. I love the first order I made. They're amazing.
I am very much a night person. I have worked nights for 20 years. I tried to be a day person and I felt just like you did the whole 3 years I forced myself to work days. My active time when I’m most productive is 9pm-4am. I am never up before noon even on a day off. I always get my packages in the morning when I’m dead asleep. I have a hang tag on my doorknob that says night shift worker do not disturb and a little picture of an owl with little zzzzzz. I made a request with the driver one day when I saw them out to have things dropped off with no knock on my back porch. I wish there was a way you could make an account at the post office or UPS and ask for delivery to come either AM or PM. I always seem to get things while I’m sleeping too
