    Made it with ur recipe, turned out yummy. Added more nuts & raisins as I don’t like peals. The one made on stove is better & authentic . Ur recipe was easy to follow & best part is your measurements were in cups & gms. I prefer gms as cup measurements are not always accurate.thank you 😊

      Thanks. Enjoy it. Make a big batch and freeze individually in aluminium foil. Microwave and enjoy any time. Stays for 3 months in the icemaking compartment of the fridge. May be longer, but mine get gobbled up well before that

    Wow we parsis love dal ni pori and unfortunately the lady has stopped making so thought of making at home. To make dal looks quite easy but pastry sheet I am not very good at it. Can you suggest we get pastry sheet at the bakery near my house but they are very small in size so how do I make with these ready pastry sheets. Will be obliged if you respond asap.

    • @manijehscooking
      @manijehscooking  Před 3 lety

      Just ask the bakery to sell you unbaked large fresh pastry sheet or the pastry dough by weight. Then you can stuff the dal and roast it.

    • @manijehscooking
      @manijehscooking  Před 3 lety

      Another option is to roll out 2 small sheets separately and put dal between them. Seal the edges. Shape won't be the same, but taste should be good.

    • @manijehscooking
      @manijehscooking  Před 3 lety

      Last option. Just make a dough with maida and ghee, no water. Stuff the dal and deep fry on very low flame.

      Thank you. But worth trying. The dal is very easy. Use store bought puff pastry to reduce work.

    Wow! You are amazing. I wish you could talk if possible. Thanks 🙏

    • @manijehscooking
      @manijehscooking  Před rokem +1

      I have totally conflicting views on talking on the video. Some folks just want to browse quickly. They don't prefer sound as that increases the duration of the video. Others, mostly the older folk, prefer with talking so they can listen and make the item at the same time. So few of my videos have sound and others don't.
      Also another important point is that I shoot my own videos and do my own editing. Adding sound takes a lot longer than subtitles

      @@shad6519 I can tell you what I do. But I am also an amateur. I have a tiktok stand on which I fix my phone. Focus it on the counter where I am preparing the dish. I shoot short video clips of relevant steps in the preparation with the phone. I then edit the videos using a free software from the playstore. It is called "YouCut" This is easy and user friendly. You can crop the size to focus or zoom in, split, cut, edit speed of the clip. I put off the sound of the video clip. Add the subtitles and music, then save it as one full video. Hope this helps.
