  • Hi guys,
    Did you know that almost 60% of the cabins on MSC World Europa feature balconies? These could be standard balcony cabins (what I'll show you in this video), or a whole range of other cabin types including Yacht club.
    Today, I'll be showing you a standard balcony cabin. These typically measure 16-17 sqm, but hopefully you'll agree that it's really good what MSC have done with the space here - I think the room looks much bigger than it actually is!
    Balcony cabins on MSC World Europa can be on a number of different decks - they're all located from deck 9 up to deck 16, so you've got a lot of choice when cruising on this - one of the biggest cruise ships currently serving the Mediterranean.
    This ship is the sister to the soon incoming MSC World America, and so hopefully what I show you in this video will also apply to this new ship when it reaches the market in due course.
    Finally, let me know - what do you think of this cabin? Would you like to stay in here, or would you choose a different cabin type for your cruise?
    Hope you enjoy having a look round - if you do, remember to give the video a like, and why not subscribe to the channel while you're here? If you're new to my channel, hello! I'm Fraser, and for the rest of 2023, I'm spending it living on cruise ships. For this reason, I'm going to have LOTS of ships and cabins to show you, so hopefully you're up for coming along on my journey. Let's go!

    It's balcony for me all the way for now. I have to have those views especially in the mornings N sail aways plus sunsets

      Yeah, I hear you. Personally, it comes down to money - if I need to get those views from the open decks to save some £$£, then so be it! Thanks for watching, Julie!

    This is a brilliant cabin. I shared with ny dad for a week and its a good size cabin. The balcony is the highlight for me, waking up and sitting outside with a coffee first thing was such a treat. 🙏🙏 Have fun on yiur adventure Frazer, your videos are brilliant xx

      Hey Sonia, thanks for following! Totally agree re the balcony - I could sit out there with my morning coffee for hours. I’ve got a balcony on my next cruise, and am SO excited for it!

    Booked on Deck 9 in October 2023! So close, can't wait to board this ship.

    We really like MSC cabins, 2 minor things, 1 a splash of colour would be nice and 2 a power socket beside the bed. The power socket beside the bed seems to be impossible for many cruiselines tho! Thanks Fraser for the tour.

      I don’t disagree re the power socket - I’m lucky I charge via USB, but know a lot of people who now don’t and would benefit from a plug! I always find the newer MSC ship cabins SO comfortable!

      @FraserAtSea some of us old and decrepit folk 😂 need medical devices such as CPAP machines, and they require mains power, and a cable stretched from the desk on the opposite wall is never good. Never mind, extension cables are frowned upon by cruiselines as fire hazards. Therefore great to see your cabin tours, Fraser, to judge how far the sockets are from the beds! 🤣

    Wow! I didn't realize the balcony was so small. I'm sure I'll still enjoy it but I don't think I've ever had a balcony on a cruise that didn't have lie-down loungers on it.

    • @FraserAtSea
      @FraserAtSea  Před 5 měsíci

      Yeah, most cruise ship balconies are about the same size as this - you must’ve been in some faaaancy cabins!

    Great video and a nice cabin tour. I booked an infinite Oceanview which I didn't know what it's until I look at some CZcams videos. The window can be half way down so it's like a balcony room without a balcony.

    Hi Fraser, have you got the link to your video where you explain the good and bad cabin locations please? I checked through your youtube account but can't seem to find it ;-) Thank you!

    • @FraserAtSea
      @FraserAtSea  Před 8 měsíci

      Hey Carola, good question - I actually don’t think I got around to putting it together - oops! I’ll get some stuff together over the next few weeks to cover this topic hopefully - watch this space, ha!
      Long story short though, just make sure your cabin’s got other cabins on all sides, and don’t book beside any ‘crew only’ access doors… Hopefully this helps for now!!
