Obviously im not talking obese or morbidly obese but I've met a lot of fat gymnasts and atheletes who do better than some skinny people, it really depends on peoples body type and whats normal for them (i.e without over or under eating).

Su K. No because skinny is majority of the time a result from disordered eating (not to be confused with a full blown eating disorder). The other aspect is a physical illness/disorder. But a healthy body is not just skinny for no reason it is how we use the body and the food we eat that determine how it will look. To be skinny isn’t just ”a fast metabolism), you have to look at WHAT made the person’s metabolism fast. Usually it’s because a person basically nibbles through the day and don’t eat proper sized meals. I was underweight for so many years from childhood to my 20s, and I did like majority of skinny people, I said I couldn’t gain weight. But of course I didn’t gain when I didn’t fuel my body close to enough, plus I rarely snacked and never had seconds because I would be full from not even a full recommended sized portion. I never pushed myself to eat above my comfort zone, unlike many people with normal weight to overweight/obese people. Health-wise it is not healthy to be skinny either and in fact sometimes an overweight person can be more healthy than a skinny person. I had a few years in my teens when I never worked out and I was also then underweight and I had a friend who ate 3 meals a day and worked out 4 times a week and they had an overweight of about 30 pounds (because she also ate lots of food, heslthy, but still many calories in). But guess who people praised as the healthy one?....yep, me! One year we had medical tests a few months apart and we compared the results and hers were perfect, my results showed that I lacked a bunch of things, but still people viewed her as the unhealthy one. Weight is how you eat and how active you are and it is a society myth that people just magically are either underweight or overweight, and it is annoying people without medical degrees carry on this bs as a truth when in reality they have no clue about many basic bodily functions. Take an overweight person who starts to be more active their metabolism will get higher. Just like I had a high metabolism all my life because I walk or bike instead of taking the car. You can’t just look at a person’s plate a few times and at their body and from those two things determine their health status and the reason they look like they do. You need to have medical tests and you need to look at so many aspects in a person’s life to know if they are healthy or not. Please educate yourself before you state your assumptions as valid truths that you can share with others as a solid reality when it’s nothing but speculation rooted in an idea from your personal logic.

As a woman, I totally understand him. Being skinny and “very thin” is as difficult as being overweight. Zero self esteem and confidence, I’ve always had this feeling that I’m not desired by men. And women, oh those creatures that never shut up, they always comment on how thin I look and that no one would like to date me .. but you know what? My kind heart, my intelligence that led me to who I am today. Still thin but more confident that ever 😉
