Can't cut straight lol. It was kind of sloppy actually. But I still enjoyed the video. But it was bothering me to see those uneven cuts over and over lol.
Very nice, Alec! I’ve been wanting to carve a lighthouse since the one you did a year ago, then Doug’s kept light houses in my mind. Now this one knife carve seals the deal, a lighthouse is in the near future. Thanks.
The rocks were amazing. I thought they were a lot more involved but then you just cut and I remember these are organic and can be any size or shape I want. Really beautiful. Thank you. ✌🏻🤍
Thanks Alex. Please keep the videos coming
Thanks a lot Noah!
Alec this is the type of carving I really enjoy doing! Finished this a little bit ago will be doing a couple more over time as gifts. Thank you for your time in these vids!
I'm glad! More to come!
Great carving, thanks Alec, do love the way you put that rock formation together
Fantastic job Alec .. wonderful little light house ..Thank you so much for sharing
Way to smart for me.But I'll give it a try .Awesome work.
Thanks so much Gene !!!
Thank you Alec for doing a video out of bass wood and a knife that I have. Now I can follow you.
Waiting for my ebay order of basswood so picked up some craft store assorted packs. Was pondering what to make with these awkwardly cut blocks then this popped up. Woohoo perfect tutorial to watch and practice on for these blocks.
I completed the Light House. It was a nice challenge as I never done one before. Thank you for the video.
Glad to hear Heather!
I really really enjoyed this one. I'll have to carve this now since my wife adores it. Happy Carving Alec
So glad Greg! Try it out!
These light houses are fun to carve, great inspiration thanks.
Dude that was totally cool, I really enjoy how you get excited about your carving. Going to do this when I finish this little bunny of Doug’s for Easter, so many women to carve for does keep me busy with all the projects. Thanks Alex for the projects you’ve posted!
Just tried my hand at this project and happy to say it came out pretty good. Thanks for the video and instruction Alec!
Glad to hear it Robb!!
My pleasure
Great tutorial - nice touch with adding the rocks for the base!
You're knocking these out of the park, Alec! Great job. You're giving me lots of ideas to use my scrap on. Thanks.
Thanks Anders!
Loved your style of explanation. Made a lighthouse following this video. Thank you
Thanks a lot Sergey!
Very nice, I have been thinking in the back of my mind about a light house and this one is perfect! Thanks so much!

Thanks Graeme!
This was a good one; thanks bud!
Nice lighthouse - awesome design in a compact size. Between you and Doug, you guys have given me some great ideas for the box of basswood and cottonwood bark samples I’m working through. I told the wife about your school. Not sure she took the Christmas gift hint. 😂.
Outstanding promo work from your bro 😆
Ill pass that along!
At first I thought another one that is too hard, but this looks perfect for a beginner.
Nice big stop cuts and random rocks at the bottom.
Loved it.
Thanks Alec
Thank you! Cheers!
I always wanted to be a lighthouse keeper!😂🙌🇬🇧
But now I drive trucks and carve🤔
You and Doug need a bialetti eh!🙌
I need to get one! I think Doug has one !!
Well Alec, it’s looks like that’s another three videos for the school. Is that 9 now!? No Christmas for you this year! 😂👍🏻
I know!! I gave up on that idea long ago!
Just wait until you and your lovely wife have kids. It’ll be “Christmas is a priority!!” Yeah, with the two exclamation marks, add one more for every child. 😂
The knack of producing offspring is lots of practice. 😉 Merry Christmas, my unknown friend
I appreciate you and your talent. Between the lighthouse and Dougs painting of his Gnome door. I was able to figure out how to paint the rocks and blend the paints. Is there a way to send you pictures of carvings. Or a special site.
Great idea! You can send it to coffeeandcarvingshow@gmail.com
Alec? You point out a more involved lighthouse carving during your intro to this video (mentioning a link below), but I don’t see it in this video details or in your posted videos on your channel?
Do you have a jig to cut the 2x2 on a table saw?
I was half convinced you were cutting though an apple 😂
Hahah!
Alec could you tell your viewers how long have you been carving ?
Nice! Looks a bit like Marquette.
It does!
How long does this take to whittle for a beginner let me know please thanks
It could take up to 6 hours for a beginner or even longer!
@@AlecLaCasseArt thanks for letting me know
👍
☕👍🍵
My problem is when I'm making rocks I think too much,,,
Doug jr. 🤗
Lol
How about carving a picture of Mona Lisa
That’s actually an amazing idea
