Thank you! Canadian strategies should be the same as US based. At the end of the day we are working with people.
Going through the list of GC's and subs on these platforms, I notice some have certifications and others do not. Is that something super necessary to be able to stand out? How about experience in residential , does that count at all when big GC's look at companies profiles? Or is it a rule of thumb that they will go for the most certified and with stars/reviews? Some are companies with plenty of experience in certain field, but no certifications. Would you recommend getting certified 1st? I'm in roofing and siding. Tks!
CM, on the platforms, they aren't really going too look at your credentials believe it or not. They have options to invite hundreds of contractors to bid with a few clicks, so when you get invites, yo'll be lucky if they even know who you are. That's why I teach that you have to set yourself apart by visiting everyone who you are going to bid for. The keys to winning jobs is building relationships with the Estimators and Project Managers.

This is honestly stupid.. take this root and youll get f'd. Just cold email to companies or industry's you want to do work in, and pay google to keep your ads up above your rivals. No ones going share there secrets in construction, your comp doesn't want to see you pass them
problem is guys are just fing lazy to do things there self's. and that's the difference from making it and not making it
