Embedding Pins

- Have you ever tried embedding a pin into your projects rather than drilling a hole and using a jump ring? Here's a quick video showing how I choose to approach this method.
It's important to note that the pin that goes into your clay has to be either a head pin, a loop, or bent in some way so that the pin cannot pull back out of your clay after curing.
Here's where you can find cutters to make that cute gnome (this is the 3 cm size): theclayimpress.com/products/g...
I ordered these. They are adorable! I made a few last night. Is there a reason the hat is a bit longer that the body?
Hey there! Thank you for your order!
Yes! We made the hat wider and longer than the body because I've used a few layered cutters where the front piece is the same size as the back, and I haven't liked the look of the finished piece. You have to lay the front piece on super precisely or the back often shows from the front, and it looks sloppy. Also, you need to make sure the side looks good by blending the edges together. This is really time consuming and often ends up looking sloppy also, so we just decided to avoid all of that by making the top piece larger.
I hope you're having fun with your gnomes!

Which gnome would be good for earrings and for christmas ornaments
@@arleengarrett9720 the 7 cm would be best for Christmas ornaments. For earrings, it's really a personal preference, but I would recommend 4 or 5 cm. 😊
