I've always been told you need to use liquid clay to stick raw clay to baked pieces but you didn't say to add any here. Will it be okey without or did you just forget to add that to the instructions?

If you just place uncured clay on cured clay and don't sculpt them together, you'll need some oven-bake adhesive to make sure they bond, but if you place uncured clay on cured clay and blend and sculpt them together, there's no need for any adhesive.
Our tool, plus pressing firmly, does this.
It's also super important that you bake for about an hour, so the two clays have a chance to bond fully. ☺️

Does this keep the earring from sitting flush against the ear, tho? Bc now there’s a dome - would have to be pretty tight on the lobe to get it to look flush against the ear(

This is a great question! The dome of clay is only 1.3 mm thick. It is intentionally subtle, ensuring a polished and professional appearance. It is not easily visible unless you closely inspect or manipulate the ear. Our design prioritizes a seamless look without compromising the appearance or wearability.
